Tanying Township
The township is located in the northeast of Fangcheng District, Fangchenggang City, Guangxi, 8 kilometers away from the city. The township is a hilly area, rich in water resources, mild climate, suitable for planting rice, tea, sugarcane and other crops, and has large reserves of mineral resources. It is said that Ma Yuan, the Fubo General of the Eastern Han Dynasty, once camped by the river, so it was named Tanying. It was merged with Pingwang Township in 2005.

He merged with Pingwang Township in July 2005. The total area is 246.3 square kilometers, including 33412 mu of cultivated land. It has jurisdiction over 16 village committees and 321 villager groups, with a permanent population of 38936 by the end of 2017. In 2005, the total output value was 229.6 million yuan, the total agricultural output value was 142.5 million yuan, the total grain output was 19982 tons, the total industrial output value was 1886.9 billion yuan, the total social investment in fixed assets was 37.95 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was 1.68 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2447 yuan.

Tanying township is a big agricultural township and one of the main planting areas of grain and sugarcane in Fangcheng district. it has six production bases of high-quality fruits, sugarcane, freshwater aquaculture, meat and poultry, high-quality grain and timber forest, and has initially formed suburban characteristic agriculture. At present, the planting area of litchi, longan, sugarcane, orange, vegetable and timber forest is 1727 mu, 1335 mu, 8000 mu, 1995 mu, 19095 Mu and 20100 Mu respectively. The annual output is 546 tons of litchi, 578 tons of longan, 32000 tons of sugarcane, 442 tons of oranges, 14340 tons of vegetables and 4020 cubic meters of timber forest. The total agricultural output value of the township is 112.66 million yuan, with 18209 pigs and 114098 three birds born annually. history
It is said that Ma Yuan, the Fubo General of the Eastern Han Dynasty, once camped by the river, so it was named Tanying. During the Republic of China, it was called the wolf country. From 1950 to 1951, there were three small townships, Liuyong, Dongwei and pineapple root. In 1957, it was transferred to Qinbei County, known as Tanying township. In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Dongxing county. In September 959, he separated from Fangcheng commune and established Tanying people's commune. In 1961, it was renamed Tanying District, under the jurisdiction of Tanying, Pingwang and Longtoushi communes. He was restored to Tanying people's commune in 1963 and changed to Tanying Township in 1984. He merged with Pingwang Township in July 2005.

In the autumn of 1934, the people of Pingwang transformed the temple of marquis into a school. The first principal was Chen Linlin, the head of the township. In March, 1935, hail was as big as eggs, and the roof tiles were basically damaged. In 1939, on the eighth day of the tenth month of the lunar calendar, Japanese soldiers arrived at Pingwang and then went to Dazhi. On November 22, 1939, two Japanese planes collided and destroyed in bozhutang, Pingwang. On the 14th day of the fourth lunar month in 1940, 36 Japanese soldiers went to bozhutang to check the scene of the plane crash. The Guangxi army opened fire, the Japanese soldiers fired back, the Western army retreated, and the Japanese soldiers burned Pingwang street, zhongzhongtian and SANFA. In 1942, Chen Linlin, the head of the township, printed the general banknotes of Pingwang. In the spring of 1943, Wu Jianxiong, then commander of a KMT headquarters, returned to tunjing and went to the ancestral grave in the hengbian mountain. The teachers and students of Pingwang primary school went to fenshiao to greet him. The next day, the lion team in Pingwang Street went to congratulate him. Li Shaohe of Pingwang Street joined the army with Commander Wu, and later revolted in Anhui to accept the adaptation of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In the summer of 1943, Liu Youying, Pingwang's first junior high school graduate, came back from Fangzhong middle school. The teachers and students of Pingwang primary school went to shuangshiqiao to welcome him. In June 1946, thousands of Vietnamese soldiers went to Pingwang to rob Xu's cattle at Shuijing. In the summer of 1949, Chen Sheng's guerrilla troops of the Communist Party of China went to Pingwang to attack the township government. The fighting was very fierce. It lasted one night for one day. Almost all the Kuomintang self defense forces were destroyed, and only the township head Huang Zhenghuan escaped. The guerrillas sacrificed company commander Li, staff officer Feng and Xie 25 of nashipo. The next day, the Kuomintang Fangcheng County Police Brigade went to Pingwang to counter attack, and the guerrillas retreated in the direction of Dazhi because of the shortage of troops.
After the founding of new China
On December 25, 1949 (the sixth day of the eleventh month of the lunar calendar), Tang Guangtian, the leader of the Chinese Communist guerrillas, led his troops to liberate Pingwang, opened the granary of the Kuomintang, distributed the rice to the Pingwang people, established the Pingwang people's government, and appointed Qiu Qifang as the first head of the Pingwang people's government.
On the evening of May 6, 1950 (March 20 of the lunar calendar), the KMT's "anti Communist army" led by Huang Bingxi and Wei Yuzhang attacked from Qinzhou, Dasi and Guitai, and the "Youth Party" of Pingwang and Daliu attacked Pingwang Township People's government. Xiang Gan Tang Qi and Chen Zhiju (female) died. Later, because there was no rescue, Zhang Rutai, then township head, and other cadres were captured and taken out of the township government
