Xiquan street, belonging to Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwest of Lintong city. It is adjacent to Xingzhe street in the East, Xiekou street in the southeast and south, Xiekou street in the southwest, Xinhe street in Baqiao District, Xi'an City in the west, Geng town in Gaoling County in the northwest, Beitian street across Weihe River in the north and Xingzhe street in the northeast, with a total area of 27.5 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
The origin of place names
Xiquan street is named after Xiquan site. Xiquan originally had two springs, East and West. According to the records of Chang'an annals, a calf fell into Dongquan, and the cow moaned. Later, the calf emerged from Xiquan, and the two springs connected with each other, so it was called "Mingdu spring".
History of construction
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Jia village.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to the twelve guarantees, thirteen guarantees, four guarantees and five guarantees of Lishan town. The twelve guarantees governed Xuankong, sangyuan and Weizhuang villages and the Huojia Liujiazhuang village in Geng town of Gaoling county. The thirteen guarantees governed Shijia, Zhujia, Sanwang, zhouwan, Tangjia and Chunshu villages. The four guarantees governed Podi, Jia and Erli villages. The five guarantees governed Dongquan, Xiquan, Maiwang and Dongquan Zhao et al.
After 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Lishan district and Xiekou district respectively.
In September 1958, it belonged to Xiquan management area of Huaqing commune, with jurisdiction over eight brigades including Chunshu, Sanwang, Dongzhao, Jiacun, Podi, Xiquan, Maiwang and sangyuan.
In April 1961, the commune was established.
In April 1984, it was changed to township.
In January 2002, it was changed into a town.
It was changed to Xiquan street in September 2006.
