Yizhi township is located in the southwest of Jinggu County. The township government is 62 kilometers away from the county. It has jurisdiction over 9 village committees, 118 villager groups and 14588 people, including 13937 agricultural population. It is inhabited by Yi, Dai, Lahu, Bulang, Bai and other ethnic groups. The total administrative area of the township is 788.61 square kilometers, belonging to the Weiyuan River and Xiaoheijiang river basins and a few river valleys. With an altitude of 820 meters, the township governs 9 villager committees and 98 natural villages, with 9 nationalities including Han, Dai, Yi, Hani, Bai, Hui, man, Lahu and Bulang, and a permanent population of 12626 (2017). Yizhi township is mostly located in mountainous and semi mountainous areas, with a small number of river valleys. It borders Zhengxing in the East, and faces Ning'er county and Simao district across the river in the south.
