Jiulong Town

Jiulong Town, under the jurisdiction of Yuechi County, is the cultural, economic, educational and administrative center of Yuechi. The county people's government, with a total population of 133949 (2017), is located at the junction of Shiya, Baimiao, Huayuan towns, Chaoyang, Beicheng, Zhenlong and Dashi townships, 30km away from Yansheng Yankou Town, 120km away from Chongqing urban area and 17km away from Guang'an urban area.

Brief introduction of villages and towns

Yuechi County governs the town and the county government is stationed. In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the county government moved here. Chengguan Township was built in 1950 and upgraded to district in the next year. It was changed into a town in 1957, a commune in 1958 and a township in 1984. In 1992, six townships including Zisheng, longzang, Dujia, Yinta, Gaoya and Xidao were merged into jianjiulong town. Located in the middle of the county, the southern foot of Xiangfeng mountain. It covers an area of 70.52 square kilometers and has a population of 133949 (2017). Guangan Gaoping Road, Yilong Beibei road and Guangyue Avenue cross the border.
