Wutun Street
Wutun street, belonging to Yanliang District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Yanliang District, facing Guanshan Town across the Shichuan River in the East, adjacent to the intersection street of Lintong district across the Qinghe River in the south, Beitun street in the West and Xinxing street in the north, with a total area of 53.3 square kilometers.
Wutun street is the capital of the Qin and Han Dynasties and the hometown of political reform. The first city is governed by two counties. It is the largest production base of goat milk powder in China, the key town of one hundred towns in Shaanxi Province, and the demonstration town of urban agriculture in Xi'an city.
As of June 2020, Wutun street has 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2011, the total population of Wutun street was 36430, the total agricultural output value reached 590 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 472.73 million yuan, the total sales of social goods reached 125.46 million yuan, the added value of financial industry was 90 million yuan, and the balance of various deposits of financial institutions was 190 million yuan.

The origin of place names
During the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1398), Wang Jian, the governor of Jin Dynasty, settled in the area, where most of the people were surnamed Wu, so it was named WUJIATUN, or Wutun for short.
History of construction
From the spring and Autumn period when the Jin Dynasty set up the "Oak City" in the territory to the 11th year of emperor Xiangong of Qin Dynasty (374 BC), the county of Liyang was set up, with all the counties in the same city, and was stationed in the ancient city of Liyang (now in Wutun town).
From the 12th year of emperor Xiaogong of Qin Dynasty (350 BC) to the 8th year of Zhenguan of Tang Dynasty (634 BC), the county government was still in Liyang City. In the 10th year of emperor Gaodi (197 BC), Wannian county was set up in Liyang, and Wannian and Liyang counties ruled the city together.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), it is recorded that WUJIATUN (town) was attached to dangjiapu and yubaotun.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), a town office was set up, with jurisdiction over 38 villages.
After May 1949, there was a district government with jurisdiction over 4 townships and 43 villages.
In 1950, the township government was established.
In March 1959, a management area was set up.
In January 1961, Wutun commune was established.
In March 1984, the people's Government of Wutun township was re established, which was previously under the jurisdiction of Lintong county.
In August 1987, it was under the jurisdiction of Yanliang District of Xi'an city.
In 1996, Wutun Township under the jurisdiction of 14 villages, 137 villager groups.
In April 1997, the township was removed to build a town, which was renamed Wutun town.
On December 11, 2018, Xi'an Municipal People's Government approved Yanliang District to cancel Guanshan Town and set up Guanshan Street according to the reply of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Yanliang District in Xi'an City (SMH [2018] No. 230), and agreed to cancel Wutun town and set up Wutun street.
On December 20, 2018, Yanliang District government issued a reply, agreeing to cancel Wutun town and set up Wutun street, where the street office is located in Guangyang village.
On the morning of January 10, 2019, the unveiling ceremony of the street in Wutun town was held.

The maximum distance between East and West is 8.1 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 9.6 km, with a total area of 53.3 square kilometers. The land area is 52.9 square kilometers, accounting for 99.3%; the water area is 0.4 square kilometers, accounting for 0.7%. It is 7 kilometers away from the district government.

Wutun street is located in Weihe plain with flat terrain. The terrain in the territory mainly includes the alluvial plain of Weihe River and loess tableland. The highest point is located in menmending formation of Renzhang village, 420 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in Xiaosu formation of Xinzhuang village, 351.7 meters above sea level.
