Beitun Street
Beitun street, belonging to Yanliang District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the south of Yanliang District, bordering Wutun town in the East, facing Liyang street and Xuyang street of Lintong district across Qinghe River in the South and West, Zhenxing street in the northwest and Fenghuang road street in the north, with a total area of 28.4 square kilometers.
Beitun street is the development area of national aviation industry base, Yanliang new industrial park and farmhouse demonstration area; the hometown of pear and vegetable. The historic sites include the stone bridge of Liyang built on the Qinghe River by Wu Zhiwang, governor of the three sides of Shaanxi Province during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
As of June 2020, Beitun street has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages. In 2011, Beitun street had a total population of 21511, with a total agricultural output value of 330 million yuan, an industrial added value of 530 million yuan, a total social commodity sales of 120 million yuan, an added value of 21.529 million yuan in the financial industry, and a balance of 552 million yuan in various deposits.

The origin of place names
In the Yuan Dynasty, there were two tuns, North and south, which lived in Beicheng Beitun village. The office is located in Beitun village.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to lianliuli and santianli.
After 1958, it belonged to Beitun management area of Yanliang commune in Lintong county.
In April 1961, Beitun management area was removed and Beitun commune was established.
In 1984, Beitun township was set up, still under the jurisdiction of Lintong county.
In August 1978, it was assigned to Yanliang District.
In December 2002, it was changed to Beitun street.

The land area is 26.4 square kilometers, accounting for 93%; the water area is 2 square kilometers, accounting for 7%. It is 3km away from the district government.

Beitun street is located in the middle of Guanzhong Plain, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The highest point is located in the west of Xincun, Fengzhen formation, Jianwang village, with an altitude of 423.2 meters; the lowest point is located in nanqinghe, haozhong formation, Haodong village, with an altitude of 361.7 meters.
Water system hydrology
Beitun Street within the River belongs to the Yellow River Basin Weihe River system. The main river is Qinghe River, which flows in from yaozhang village and flows out from Haodong village. It has a flow length of 7 km and a drainage area of 28.4 square kilometers. It is the largest tributary of Shichuan river.
