Hanzeng Town, Jiangyou City, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, was liberated in December 1949. In March 1951, the township government was set up from the administrative area of rang Shui township. The township government was stationed in the "hanzeng Temple" in Jiechi village, so it was named hanzeng township. In 1966, it changed its name to build a commune, which is under the jurisdiction of the suburban areas. In 1983, it was restored to the people's Government of hanzeng township. In November 1988, it was withdrawn from the township and established hanzeng Town, which is under the jurisdiction of Jiangyou Municipal People's government. The town government is now located in the West Yingbin section of hanzeng town. The town has 1 neighborhood committee, 6 administrative villages and 54 villager groups, with a total number of 3210 households and a total population of 8012 (2017). The natural growth rate of population is 6%, and the birth rate is 8 ‰, mainly Han nationality.

On December 25, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Mianyang City (cfzm [2019] No. 27): Changcheng street was cancelled, and the administrative area of Panjiang community of Changcheng street was put under the jurisdiction of hanzeng Town, which was stationed at 331 Yingbin road.

Hanzeng town is a hilly and alpine terrain; wujiahou mountain and Qianyuan mountain on the East Bank of Panjiang River (Tongkou River) are mountainous areas, and the southeast foot is hilly. The highest altitude is 2106m, and the lowest altitude is 540M. The landform is mostly kashite. There are many bedrock caves and scarps, and there are many exposed rocks on the ground. The geology is mostly limestone weathering layer. The annual rainfall is about 700-1200mm, the temperature is relatively low, the annual average temperature is 15 ℃, and the average sunshine is about 900 hours. The forest grows luxuriantly. It is a national natural forest nature reserve. By the end of 2000, the town had 6214.8 mu of arable land, including 1791 mu of farmland, 4423.8 mu of land, 73130 mu of natural forest protection area, with a forest coverage rate of 55%. Corn, rice and wheat were the main food crops, rape and peanut were the main oil crops, and ginger, garlic, sea pepper and Osmunda were the main economic crops. Pig, sheep and cattle are the main breeding industries, and chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits are the small poultry.

The fresh and pleasant environment here is really commendable, especially the green plant landscape wall. These numerous and large-scale landscape walls, like green screens, make hanzeng very quiet. Before the 1950s, hanzeng Town, like other towns in Jiangyou, was not known to the outside world. After the implementation of "three line construction" by the state, the third branch of Great Wall Special Steel Co., Ltd. settled here. Hanzeng became lively and modern, and then became a small city. Unlike the "three line construction" in other places, the living quarters of workers here are far away from the factory due to the barrier of mountains, and they are not connected together. With the increase of noise, dust and some harmful chemicals, it has maintained a fresh, quiet and natural personality. In the past, hanzeng did not pay much attention to environmental greening in urban construction. It was not until the 1980s that it made a significant change. According to Zhang Shanjin, director of hanzeng sub district office of the third branch factory, this is due to the environmental pollution caused by the domestic waste not being treated in time. In the aspect of environmental beautification, it's thought-provoking to add more people. Because hanzeng is located in the mountainous area, the environmental improvement can not be carried out according to the conventional thinking. They adopt the way of following the trend of the mountain, inserting green in the cracks, and adding green on the wall. Across the street from Panjiang Hotel, there is a 5-meter-high and 50 meter long landscape wall. On the hillside is a water tower for more than 10000 people in the town. In order to beautify the huge wall, Canny hanzeng planted jasmine and ivy on the top of the wall. The scenery varies from season to season. In early spring, the spring is in full bloom and the yellow flowers are blooming, conveying the breath of spring to people; in summer, the ivy is as green as wash, and the branches and vines climb down from the wall, just like a green waterfall falling from the sky; in autumn and winter, the Ivy leaves are red and yellow, just like a colorful traditional Chinese painting. On the side of Yingbin Road, there is a 100 meter long building fill area. Hanzeng people are ingenious and have designed two-story antique viewing platform, and built antique pavilions on the roadside for people's leisure and entertainment. The whole building is landscaped with plants, giving people the feeling of changing scenery step by step. There are ancient trees around the balcony, wisteria climbing on the pavilion, Rhododendron nestling beside the waterside pavilion, and in front of the two-story observation platform, there are green inverted locust and tapai; on the back wall, the climbing tiger is trying to expand its territory. From a distance, the two back walls are pasted on the wall like two green tapestries. On the hillside after hanzeng Street office, the builders also cleverly made use of the Danjing stone rich in Panjiang River to create the scenery, engraved with Li Bai's poem "don't meet the Taoist of Dai Tianshan Mountain" and other poems, and planted with rose, boxwood and other green plants around, a fresh cultural atmosphere came to our face. It is difficult to find two green walls with similar shape and the same planting plants. In addition to using vines and shrubs as the green plants to cover the wall, they also widely used the huge shading function of trees to cover the wall. On both sides of Panjiang road from the living area to the plant area, the lush and strong oleander forms a green channel. White, pink flowers flutter in the wind, like groups of virgins dancing. At the roadside of Yingchun, rows of French Holly are luxuriant and continuous, just blocking the bare rocks. "After more than 20 years of unremitting efforts, green consciousness has already gone deep into hanzeng people's heart." Zhang Shanjin said with pride.

Hanzeng town has favorable conditions for industrial economic development and good situation. In 2004, the town's GDP was 21 million yuan, including 175.89 million yuan for township enterprises, 126.8 million yuan for industrial output, 2.3 million yuan for fiscal revenue, 3255 yuan for per capita net income of farmers, and 11.15 million yuan for investment promotion. There is Zhongtong cement road in the town, which can be directly connected to Anxian county and Beichuan County.
