Jiangrang township is located in the southwest of Coqin County, 50 kilometers away from the county. Its geographical location is between 850 E and 307 n, bordering quluo Township in the East, Zhongba County in the west, Saga County in the South and Coqin town in the north. It is about 150 kilometers from east to west and 200 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of 7557.62 square kilometers. In 1999, it had jurisdiction over 5 administrative villages and 14 natural villages, with a permanent population of 3091 (in 2017), and its economy was dominated by animal husbandry.
