Jiayu town

Longzi County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs the township, and the township government is located in gongla village. The township governs 10 administrative villages, namely, qiedui village, Qiemai village, Gongga village, Gangji village, Puyu village, lunba village, Dazi village, qiangmujin village, gongla village, Pang village and Kabu village. There are 43 natural villages.

Before the peaceful liberation of Tibet, in ancient times, this township and Qulin Township in San'an were collectively called Kal. During the Yuan Dynasty, Jiayu and Lazhu were merged into a wanhu, named "zayouwa wanhu mansion". It used to be the manor of the mother of the 14th Dalai Lama.

After the peaceful liberation of Tibet, its division was composed of Jialun, Gongrong, Puyu and Liulian townships in Jiayu district.

In May 1988, Jiayu district was abolished and Jiayu township was established after the adjustment of administrative divisions.

In 1996, it has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages including Jiexiong, Jimai, Gongga, Gongguo, Puyu, lunba, Dazhi, qiangmujin, gongla, Yueban and Kabu.

In May 2015, the township had 4458 mu of arable land, 1.514 million mu of grassland and 3790 mu of woodland (Natural Forest). The sown area of grain crops is 3110.77 mu, economic crops 1025.6 Mu and forage grass 321.7 mu.

Production of wheat, highland barley, rape, peas, corn, buckwheat and other crops, and a small area of multiple cropping. Longzi county is one of the main grain producing areas.

Produce apple, walnut, peach and other fruits. There are potato, cabbage, radish, pepper, lettuce, cauliflower, melon and other vegetables. There are garlic and other economic crops cultivation.

Jiayu township has set up an agricultural products processing company, which mainly processes and sells "Jiayu" brand Zanba, Tibetan knives, buckwheat pillow and other products, with a current sales revenue of 150000 yuan. Through the operation mode of "company + farmer", the farmers and herdsmen have increased their income and become rich. Tibet Huayu Mining Development Co., Ltd., a western mining holding company, invested 21.83 million yuan to build a mineral processing plant in the county, which was put into operation in June 2006.

In 2000, the township's grain output was 5.5246 million jin, and oil production was 102200 Jin. There is one grazing spot with 16944 livestock.

In 2009, the total economic income of the township was 15.4364 million yuan, and the per capita income was 3111 yuan, of which the per capita cash income was 1867 yuan.

In May 2015, there were two processing and Service-oriented Township Enterprises in the township.

Infrastructure construction

The drinking water safety project in qianmai village, Jiayu Township, Longzi county was completed and water was supplied, which solved the drinking water problems of 62 villagers in the village. The project has 1 water intake and 1 reservoir, 4 centralized water supply points and 9 households.

Accompanied by the leaders of Shannan Prefecture Party committee, administrative office and science and Technology Department of the autonomous region, the vice chairman of the autonomous region, duo jizeren, went to Jiayu township of Longzi county to investigate and express sympathy to the local farmers and herdsmen. In Qiandui village of Jiayu Township, nearly 400000 yuan worth of solar household photovoltaic lamps were presented to farmers and herdsmen. By may 2015, Jiayu township has built one TV receiving and transferring station, and each village has built four radio and TV single transferring stations. The coverage of broadcasting and television in the township was 67% and 29%, respectively. There is a 150 kW hydropower station.

On July 15, 2020, Gongguo village and Kabu village of Jiayu township will hold a ceremony for filing and card holders to move into their new houses.

In May 2015, there was a central primary school and three teaching sites in Jiayu Township, with 28 teaching staff, 306 students, 306 Sanbao students, 100% enrollment rate and 210 middle school students.
