Mawu Township

Bianba County, Changdu City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs the township and eight village committees, namely, houkaniang village, Baiyu village, gonglong village, bengtong village, Xiongtong village, Daru village, zari village and laga village.

It is located in the northeast of Bianba County, adjacent to Razi Township in the southwest and DUWA Township in the west, 45 km away from the county seat.

The total land area of the township is 353.65 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Mawu township was established in 1960, the commune was changed in 1970, and the township was restored in 1984.
