Jiangre town
Jiangre Township belongs to Jiangzi County, with an area of 146.89 square kilometers and a population of 4657 (2017).
Jiangzi County governs the township. When the district was withdrawn and the township was merged in February 1987, the former Dongfanghong and Guangming townships were merged into jiangre township. Located in the south of the county, 5 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 146.89 square kilometers and has a population of 4657 (2017). National Highway 318 passes through. It has jurisdiction over 11 village committees including zhaxiung, renlin, jiangre, Yu, ranggang, redangang, jiachongxiong, peigui, Lalu, banjiulunbu and zhaxigang. It is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral Township, planting highland barley, wheat, peas and rape, and Grazing Yak, cattle and sheep. There is a well preserved old Tibetan feudal manor, Pala manor, which has a high value of Tibetan historical research and tourism development. In December 1994, the autonomous region was designated as the socialist education base of the whole region.
