Mengjia town
Mengjia Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Mangshi, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is located in the south of Mangshi, 32 km away from the state capital Mangshi. It is connected with Zhongshan, Fengping, Santaishan, Zhefang and Manghai, and borders on Myanmar pangxian in the south. The border line is 4.5 km long, with a total land area of 352.26 square kilometers.
Mengjia Town, with an average altitude of 1370 meters and an average annual rainfall of 1600 mm, is a middle mountain area with steep slopes and an average altitude of 1370 meters.
In 2017, Mengjia town governs nine villages. The residents in the town are mainly Han nationality, and there are 31814 people (2017) living in three ethnic minorities, namely De'ang, Lisu and Jingpo. History of construction
"Mengjia" is the most precious place in Dai language. Sanxiandong mountain in Jiazhen is the junction of the original Mangshi, Zhefang and Mengban chieftains. Longbaoshu in the Northeast belongs to Mangshi, sanjiaoyan in the southwest belongs to Zhefang, and xiangguolin in the southeast belongs to Mengban.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), the provincial and county level divisions were implemented. As a transitional method for county construction, Luxi was located in the border area, backward in economy, and the chieftain blocked the "changing the land return to the current". It was not until the twenty-one years of the Republic of China (1932) that the mang block administrative region was changed to a governing Bureau (quasi county level), and the Bureau was in mengcannes, which was the first colonial governor Department.
In 1934, mang Shiban was changed to set up a governing Bureau. The Bureau was located in Mengjia and moved to Mangshi in March 1949.
In 1953, Mengjia district was established, including Mengjia township (including tuanqing administrative village), Mengwen Township, mengwang township (including Xiangtang administrative village), sanjiaoyan Township, Laomian urban and rural township (now yangjiachang administrative village), Baoshun township (now mangniuba administrative village), Heping township (now huangjiazhai administrative village and Xiaoshuijing administrative Village), Daliangzi township (now Mangbing administrative village) and Pinghe township (now Jinping administrative village) River administrative village, muchengpo administrative village), saigang Township, a total of 10 townships.
In 1956, Mengjia district was divided into eight townships: Mengjia, Mengwen, mengwang, Shengli, saigang, sanjiaoyan, Baoshun and Shangdong.
In 1957, Pinghe township was divided into Mengjia district.
In October 1958, Mengjia district was transformed into BianYue and rocket communes.
In March 1959, muchengpo township was divided into Mengjia district.
In 1963, the Democratic township of Zhongshan cultural station was divided into Mengjia District, and sanjiaoyan township was divided into daxinzhai township.
In 1964, saigang Township and muchengpo Township in Mengjia district were assigned to Zhongshan cultural station, and mengwang township was divided into Xiangtang township. From 1969 to 1970, the people's commune system was changed from district to commune system. The township (town office) was changed into production brigade, and Mengjia district was changed into Hongxin commune, with jurisdiction over Hongzhong (Baoshun township), Minzhu (Minzhu township), Hongyan (sanjiaoyan township), Weidong (Xiangtang Township), Shengli (Shengli township), Hongxin (Mengjia township), Dongfeng (Mengwen township), Xiangyang (mengwang township), Hongwei (Daxin township) Zhaixiang) 9 brigades.
At the beginning of 1984, the people's commune system was abolished, the name of district (town) was restored, and Mengjia district was changed to township level town. In 1987, the original township (town) was changed into an administrative village (Office). Mengjia town has nine offices, namely Mengjia, Mengwen, mengwang, Xiangtang, mangniuba, sanjiaoyan, daxinzhai, yangjiachang and tuanqing.

There are more than 2500 kinds of higher plants in the area, and 18 kinds of rare and endangered plants under provincial protection. In January 2001, experts from Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted a resource investigation in laopo nature reserve of Heihe River, and discovered the rare and endangered plant, Dipterocarpaceae plant belt. There are more than 100 Dipterocarpaceae plants, including 23 species of national first and second grade rare wild animals, such as bee monkey, bear, monkey and Silver Pheasant.
