Geography

Hui culture
According to "Menghua Fu Zhi" and "Menghua Zhi Jie draft", the ancestors of the Hui nationality had been naturalized in the Yuan Dynasty, and now Nanjian Gonglang. After the battle of Dingbian ended in 1388, most of the Hui soldiers in the Ming army stayed in the key areas of Dingbian county. In the Ming Dynasty, when immigrants came to kuanxiang, some workers and businessmen came back to Nanjian from Nanjing, Jiangxi and other places to settle down. In the early Qing Dynasty, some of the Hui soldiers who came to Yunnan also settled in Nanjian.
