Mengku town
Mengku town is located in the north of Shuangjiang Lahu wa Bulang Dai Autonomous County, Yunnan Province. It is located between 99 ° 46 ′ 21 ″ - 99 ° 58 ′ 27 ″ east longitude and 23 ° 33 ′ - 23 ° 49 ′ north latitude. It is adjacent to Boshang Town, quannei town and Mengtuo town in Lincang in the northeast, Shahe Town and Heliu town in Shuangjiang in the South and Daxing Town in Gengma in the West. It is the second largest political, economic and cultural town in Shuangjiang Education, commerce and Trade Center, the town government is 23 kilometers away from Shuangjiang County, and national highway 214 is 30 kilometers from north to south.
In September 2018, Mengku town was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.

The total area of the town is 446.91 square kilometers, with many mountains and few dams. The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, with crisscross valleys, undulating mountains and crisscross ditches. Streams gather together Nanmeng River, which runs through the town for 37 kilometers and divides Mengku into East and West. The highest altitude is 3233 meters in Daxueshan, and the lowest altitude is 1040 meters in Dahewan where Mengku River and Huilei River meet.

The vegetation in Mengku presents the landscape characteristics of south subtropics, mainly warm broad-leaved forest and coniferous forest, with the largest area of Pinus yunnanensis and Quercus, followed by shrubs and bamboos. The vertical distribution of vegetation is obvious, and the biodiversity is well protected. The forest area of the town is 450000 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 42%.
The soil is mainly composed of hongzong soil, huangzong soil and heizong soil, with loose soil structure, high sand content and medium fertility.

The Party committee and government of Mengku town attach great importance to industrial development, strengthen the adjustment of industrial structure, actively cultivate four pillar industries of tea, animal husbandry, sugarcane, forestry and paper, and continuously increase investment, so as to promote the development of industrial scale, science and technology, and industrialization. In 2007, the total income of rural economy in the town was 66.23 million yuan, including 56.63 million yuan from the primary industry (agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery), 3.87 million yuan from the secondary industry (industry and construction), and 5.73 million yuan from the tertiary industry (transportation, catering, service and other income). The three industries accounted for 85.5%, 5.84% and 8.7% of the total income of rural economy respectively. Tea industry is developing rapidly. Now the town has a tea area of 30500 mu, including 12971 mu of high-quality ecological tea garden, 2100 mu of pollution-free organic tea garden and 21600 mu of picking area. In 2007, the tea output was 2341 tons and the output value was 24.6 million yuan. Animal husbandry is developing well. In 2007, the output of livestock and poultry in the town was 80 tons, and the income of animal husbandry was 10.03 million yuan. Three improvement points for frozen semen of cattle, one demonstration area for raising cattle and two demonstration bases for breeding pigs were built. Sugarcane industry developed steadily. The planting area of sugarcane in the town is 6483 mu, including 2927.1 mu of Xiatian. In 2006, 22000 tons of sugarcane were squeezed in the town, and the income of sugarcane reached 3.32 million yuan. The forestry industry has developed rapidly. The total area of the whole town is 29000 mu, including 51100 bamboo sheds, 811 biogas digesters, 3600 mu of white papaya and 7493 mu of walnut. The forestry income in 2007 was 1.05 million yuan.

Characteristic industry
Tea is the traditional pillar industry of Mengku Town, which is the main source of rural economy and farmers' income. Mengku town is the origin of Mengku big leaf tea. New rural construction
Hudong village of Mengku town was listed as the first batch of "three villages" construction villages by the municipal Party committee and municipal government in 2004, and Haigong and mangna village was listed as the second batch of "three villages" construction villages. 1、 The results of the construction of the new countryside in East China are remarkable

The new village has 4571 meters of cement road, 343 biogas digesters and 8354.8 m2 of characteristic residential houses in 105 households.
