Since the reform and opening up, the people of Wangda township have emancipated their minds, forge ahead, developed large-scale foundry enterprises based on radiators, and walked out of a rural industrialization path of "promoting agriculture by industry, supporting agriculture by industry, stabilizing agriculture and prospering enterprises". There are dozens of foundry enterprises in the township, with an annual output of more than 100 million radiators, accounting for two-thirds of the national radiator market. In 1995, Wangda township was named as the national spark technology intensive area and the national township enterprise demonstration area by the Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China.
