Ankang wa Township, located in Gongming mountains, also known as awashan, is located in the northwest of the county, on the South Bank of the lower reaches of Xiaoheijiang river. It is connected with shangyun town in the East and Southeast, Mujia Township in the south, Xuelin in the west, Cangyuan Wa Autonomous County in the Northwest and Shuangjiang County in the north, covering an area of 179 square kilometers.
