Yumin Township, belonging to Yushu City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the north of Yushu City, bordering Daling town in the East, Daling town and Tai'an Township in the south, Hongxing Township in the west, and Shuangcheng City in Heilongjiang Province across the Lalin River in the north. It is 45 kilometers away from Yushu City, covering an area of 151.17 square kilometers.
In 1825, Yumin township was changed from Yumin commune to Yumin Township in March 1983. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yumin township was 30851. As of June 2020, Yumin township has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Yumin village.

History of construction

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to dalingbao. In 1935, it belonged to Beixin village office. In 1948, it belonged to Beixin district.
In December 1957, Yumin township was established.
In August 1958, Yumin township was changed into Yumin commune; in October of the same year, Yumin commune was changed into Yumin operation area.
In January 1959, the Yumin working area was changed into Yumin commune.
In March 1983, Yumin commune was changed into Yumin township.
