Mengma town

Mengma town is located in the southwest border of Yunnan Province, which belongs to Menglian County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China. Mengma town is a mountainous minority town with Dai, La and wa as the main body and multiple (15) nationalities coexisting in the border area, with an administrative area of 515.05 square kilometers. Historical evolution

Mengma town is named after its residence. Mengma is a place name in Dai language, "Meng" is the place, and "Ma" means coming. "Mengma" is a village that moved to live from other places. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Menglian xuanfusi zhaogenda. In the early days of Liberation (1949-1953), it was Nanka District of Lancang County. Located in the low latitude south subtropical region, it has a subtropical monsoon climate, with an annual average temperature of 13.2-23.4 ℃ and an annual average rainfall of 1563 mm.
