Longjie Street
Longjie street is located in the west of Chengjiang City, Fuxian Lake Basin area on the West Bank of Hubei Province. It is adjacent to yousuo and Fenglu town in the East, Chenggong district and Jinning District of Kunming City in the west, Yangzong town in the north and Jiangchuan District of Yuxi City in the south. It covers an area of 185.3 square kilometers and has a population of 53200 (2006).

Liangwang, Tigu and yangbainiu belong to mountainous areas; Jianshan, luchong and Lichang belong to half mountain and half lake areas; Wanhai and Guanglong belong to half dam and half lake areas, and some villages live along the lake; Zhongyao, Gaoxi, Longjie and Huaguang (Hui Village) belong to dam areas. Historical evolution
Longjie town is named after the town government's residence in Dilong street. It was diancangli in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, DIANCANG Township in the Republic of China, the Second District of Chengjiang County in 1950, Longjie commune in 1958 and the district in 1983. In 1987, Longjie town was a township level town directly under the jurisdiction of Chengjiang County, with 14 offices, 121 natural villages and 121 agricultural production cooperatives. In 1996, it borders majinpu of Chenggong County in the northwest, Jincheng of Jinning County in the west, yousuo Township in the East and Cuifeng township of Jiangchuan County in the south, with a total area of 185.3 square kilometers, 13587 households and a total population of 48995, including 1324 non-agricultural population (7.8% of which are Hui, Yi, Miao and other ethnic minorities). It has jurisdiction over Longjie, Tigu, Liangwang, Zhongyao, Gaoxi, Huaguang, yousuo, Shuangshu, Wanhai There are 14 offices in Guanglong, Jianshan, yangbainiu, luchong and Lichang, 117 natural villages and 117 agricultural production cooperatives. At the end of 2002, the town covers an area of 175.3 square kilometers, with a total population of 50156. It has jurisdiction over 13 village committees, 109 natural villages and 119 villager groups. In 2011, Longjie town was abolished and Longjie street was established.

Longjie office: located 4km southwest of the urban area, it has 8 natural villages: housamadu, qiansamadu, maojiaying, Qianxiang village, Houxiang village, gaoqiying, zhuguanying and jiutiaogou, with a population of 5500. In Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty, it was called tuanshuying. In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to dragon and dog day fair, so it was named "Longji town" and now it is called "Longjie". Tigu office: located in the mountainous area, north of Longjie street, 15 kilometers northwest of the city. Chengma highway passes through the territory. The office has jurisdiction over 7 natural villages including Zhongguan, Xiaguan, Xiantang, houjiazhuang, xiaohuanglong, Tangjiashan and tigupu, with a population of 1258. It got its name from Tigu. It is called Xiguan in history because it is located in the west of Sanguan, and Shangguan because it is located in the first place of Sanguan. There is a Liangwanghe reservoir in the south of the mountain, which is located in liangwangchong. It's named because it's at the foot of Liangwang mountain. Gaoxi office: it is located in the north of Longjie, 2km away from the urban area. Guanglong office: located in Longwangmiao village, it is 10km southwest of Longjie street and urban area, and adjacent to Fuxian Lake in the south.
