Zhaiying Township

Zhaiying Township, subordinate to Xingtang County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Xingtang County, bordering on fellow townships in the East, Anxiang Township in the south, Ciyu town of Lingshou County in the west, Chengzhai Township and Shangbei town in the north, with an administrative area of 71.54 square kilometers.

In 1952, the agricultural production mutual aid group was established; in 1984, it was changed into xiayanzhuang Township and nanzhaiying township; in 1996, it merged xiayanzhuang Township and nanzhaiying township to establish Zhaiying township. By the end of 2018, 38409 people registered residence in Zhai village. As of June 2020, Zhaiying township has jurisdiction over 29 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in nanzhaiying village.

In 2011, the financial revenue of Zhaiying township was 6.202 million yuan, including 719000 yuan of national tax and 5483000 yuan of local tax. In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises in Zhaiying Township, including 4 Enterprises above Designated Size and 64 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1952, the agricultural production mutual aid group was established.

In 1953, it belonged to nanzhaiying Township and Songying Township in three districts of Xingtang County, and lengzhuang Township, Yanzhuang Township and Renjiazhuang Township in four districts.

In 1954, primary agricultural production cooperatives were established.

In 1956, a senior agricultural production cooperative was established.

In 1957, two brigades of nanhuoying, Kangzhuang, Lingshou county were included.

In 1958, Xingtang County was abolished and merged into Xinle County, belonging to Shangbei commune.

In 1961, three communes, nanzhaiying, Renjiazhuang and xiayanzhuang, were established.

In 1962, Xingtang County was restored to its original state.

In 1964, Renjiazhuang and xiayanzhuang communes were merged into xiayanzhuang commune.

In 1984, it was changed into xiayanzhuang Township and nanzhaiying township.

In 1996, xiayanzhuang Township and nanzhaiying Township were merged to establish Zhaiying township.

History and culture

Nanzhaiying is an ancient village. It is said that in the early days of Jianyan (1127-1130) in the Southern Song Dynasty, the song and Jin armies fought each other. The song army set up camp in this area. Later, the village used the name of camp as Zhaiying. Because of the homonym of "Zhai" and "Zhai", it was later used as chengzhaiying, with the orientation of nanzhaiying.

Zhaiying township is named after the Township People's government's residence in nanzhaiying village.
