Historical evolution
Zhou Qin belonged to Libo County of Qingyuan Prefecture of Guangxi before 1732 A.D. in the tenth year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty. Libo County was changed to Duyun Prefecture of Guizhou in the tenth year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty. Zhou Qin was also included in Guizhou Province along with Libo County. In 1957, Sandu Shui Autonomous County was established. Because zhouqin district (including zhouqin, Jiuqian, Sandong, Tingpai and Hengfeng townships) in the north of Libo had a large population of Shui, it was under the jurisdiction of Sandu Shui Autonomous County. From November to December 1958, zhouqin commune was established. In January 1959, the highway from Sandu County via zhouqin to Jiuqian provincial road was completed. At the end of 1962, the system of zhouqin district was restored. On October 5, 1984, the people's Government of Sandu county decided to abolish zhouqin Township and establish zhouqin town according to the (84) qianfutong No. 213 document notice of Guizhou Provincial People's government. On September 30, 1991, the work of building towns, merging townships and withdrawing districts in the whole county was completed. Zhouqin district was abolished, and the villages of Banyin, dezha, Bandang, Shuimeng and Xin in Shuidong Township were assigned to zhouqin town.

The financial, industrial and commercial, tax and other social service functions have been initially improved In 1999, after mangyong reservoir, the largest reservoir in Qiannan Prefecture, was completed and put into operation, zhouqin became the main irrigation area of the reservoir, with an irrigation paddy area of 3500 mu. Driven by mangyong reservoir, there is a 35KV substation, two hydropower stations (lahao power station, laye power station, installed capacity of 400 + 320 kW, power generation of 370 KWH) and one waterworks (daily supply) The water volume is 350 cubic meters), and another 110000 kV substation is also under construction, which has largely solved the problems of Zhou Qin's main farmland irrigation, drinking water for human and livestock, production and living electricity and so on.
Due to the strengthening of infrastructure construction, convenient transportation conditions and unique natural conditions, zhouqin has become the main grain producing area and livestock town of Sandu Shui Autonomous County, among which xiligong rice, kaixiangyou and Yixiang series of high-quality rice are well-known. In addition to grain production and animal husbandry, other social and economic construction undertakings of zhouqin town have also made obvious progress. development direction
We will focus on building an economic development pattern of "one region, three belts and four industries", focusing on four major strategies
The first is to implement the strategy of "prospering the town through tourism", and strive to build zhouqin town into a major tourist site of yaorenshan Libo tourist line by 2010, so as to become a new highlight of eco-tourism and ethnic customs tourism;
The second is the strategy of "strengthening the town in mining, metallurgy and electric power industry", with the output value of large-scale industry reaching 15 million yuan in 2010;
The third is the strategy of "enriching the town with characteristic agriculture", striving to sell 30000 commercial pigs and 18000 commercial cattle by 2010, realizing 2 commercial pigs per capita and more than 1 commercial cattle per household;
The fourth is to implement the strategy of "building a living town through urbanization", and strive to expand the town area to 2 square kilometers and raise the urbanization level to more than 27% by 2010. Efforts should be made to build zhouqin into a bright spot town in Quanzhou Industrial Park, a leading well-off town in the county, and a typical ethnic tourism town in the southern area.
