Niudachang Town, belonging to Shibing County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is located in the northwest of Shibing County, bordering Chengguan town in the East, Huangping County in the south, Yiwanshui Township in Huangping County in the west, Baini town in Yuqing County of Zunyi City in the north and Maxi Township in the northeast, with an administrative area of 282.84 square kilometers.
Before the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Yuqing County; in 1992, the former niudachang Township and Zijing Township merged into niudachang town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of cattle town was 26017. As of June 2020, niudachang town has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in niudachang village.

History of construction
Before the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Yuqing county.
In 1941, it belonged to Shibing county. At the time of liberation, it belonged to Dajin township.
In 1953, niudachang township was built.

History and culture
Niudachang town is named because the terrain of the village where the people's government is stationed is like the back of a sleeping cow, and the surrounding mountains are like nine cows sleeping upside down.
The ancient Buddha mountain is located in Tonggu village, niudachang town. According to records, the temple buildings on the mountain began to take shape from the early Qing Dynasty to the Kangxi period. The temple of Gufo mountain contains some stone built barriers, broken walls, temple foundations, sutra drying platform, stone Sutra building, and release pool. There are several Ming Dynasty tombs, four Qing Dynasty pagodas, hundreds of monk tombs and one chastity archway. The pagodas are divided into seven to four levels, of which the seven level pagodas were built in the 24th year of Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty.
