The town of Chichi, belonging to Shenzhou City, Hengshui, Hebei, is located in the northeast of Shenzhou, east of Wuqiang County, south of Shenzhou, the village of Feng Feng, Shenzhou, west of Bing Cao Township, North and North Stream Village, and Raoyang County, Manchu Township, with an area of 97.76 square kilometers. In 1948, it belonged to five districts of Shen county. In 1949, it was changed into three districts. In 1984, it was changed to Chenshi township. In 1996, Xincun township was incorporated. In December 2000, Chenshi township was changed into a town. As of June 2020, Chenshi town has 28 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

In 1953, it was divided into Chenshi Township, jiaozi Township, Dechao Township and xikaifu Township, which belong to three districts and are located in Chenshi village.
In 1956, Chenshi Township, jiaozi Township, Dechao Township and xikaifu Township became Chenshi township.
In 1958, it was changed to the sun commune; in the same year, it was changed to Chenshi commune.
In 1984, it was changed to Chenshi township.
In 1996, Xincun township was incorporated.
