Place name source

There are different opinions on the origin of the place name of "Qishe": one is that during the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty, seven Han surnames, Xie, Zhu, Deng, Yan, Guo, Liu and Wang, were first moved here. Because there are seven houses built, the local indigenous people call the place where the Han people settled "seven houses" (they think that seven houses or seven surnames). One is that during the northern expedition, the land resources of the South Road (the ancient tea horse road from Huangcaoba to pengzha town in Guangxi) became the object of contention between the Han nationality and the minority nationality. In order to seize the territory, the ethnic minorities use grass as the boundary, while the Han people use stone as the boundary. The boundaries of ethnic minorities are relatively unstable, and their land is gradually occupied by the Han nationality.
