Datian Yi Miao Buyi township is located in the southwest of Jinsha County. It is connected with Xinhua Miao Yi Manchu Township and Anluo Miao Yi Manchu Township in the East, Huangni Yi Miao Manchu Township in Dafang County in the south, Yuchong Township in the West and Pingba town in the north, with an administrative area of 83.8 square kilometers.

In 1665, datianpian was the seventh and eighth Jias of dadingfu, and Lvzhu was the sixth Jias; in 1992, the two nationality townships merged into Datian Yi Miao Buyi township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yi Yi Miao and Buyi Nationality Township was 10363. As of June 2020, Datian Yi Miao Buyi township has jurisdiction over one community and six administrative villages.

History of construction

In 1665, datianpian was the seventh and eighth grade of dadingfu, and Lvzhu was the sixth grade.

In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Datian was the seventh and Lvzhu was the eighth in Dading county.

In 1952, zeng'anluo district established Datian Yi Township and Lvzhu Yi Miao Buyi township for Datian and Lvzhu.

In 1992, the two ethnic townships were merged into Datian Yi Miao Buyi township.

The highest point is located at the main peak of bainiwo mountain, with an altitude of 1884.2 meters; the lowest point is located at huangjiagou, at the junction of Datian and Pingba in Lengshui River, with an altitude of 1270 meters.
