Yumo Town, belonging to Jinsha County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the southeast of Jinsha County, adjacent to andI town and Changba town in the East, Gaoping town and Zhongjian Township in Qianxi County in the south, Chengguan town in the west, Longba town and Chayuan town in the north, with an administrative area of 122.9 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Dading Prefecture of Qianxi Prefecture; in December 1991, the district was withdrawn and the township was built, and the original Yumo town was merged with three villages of Machang, Xinmin, Xiexing and Yayuan to form Yumo town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yu Mo town was 35560. As of June 2020, Yumo town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 9 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Longquan community.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Yumo town was 25.51 million yuan. From the perspective of major taxes, business tax was 4.78 million yuan, value-added tax was 6.51 million yuan, and enterprise income tax was 4.65 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 5048 yuan. In 2018, there were three industrial enterprises in Yumo Town, including one above scale and 40 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Dading Prefecture of Qianxi Prefecture.
Before the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to the first, sixth and seventh districts in the north of Qianxi County.
In 1941, Jinsha County was established and yumudong (now Yumo) was renamed Gaoxian township.
In 1942, it was renamed Yumo township.
In December 1949, Yumo belonged to the Second District of Jinsha County (under the jurisdiction of Andi District).
In 1956, Yumo District Office (the Fifth District of Jinsha County) was established.
In October 1958, Yumo District Office was transformed into a grass-roots commune.
In June 1961, Yumo District Office was restored.
In 1968, Yumo District Revolutionary Committee was established.
In 1981, Yumo District Office was restored.
In December 1991, the original Yumo town was merged with Machang, Xinmin, Xiexing and Yayuan villages to form Yumo town.
