The whole block of the Yi and Miao nationality township in Tailai is rich in mineral resources, mainly coal, pyrite and manganese. Name and origin
Originally known as dianzichang, because of frequent fires, when the town was built in 1932, it was named "Tailai" because of the meaning of "the best of times", and later evolved into "Tailai".
