Linquan town
Linquan Town, belonging to Qianxi County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the west of Qianxi County, bordering Chengguan town in the East, Jinxing town in the south, Huangnitang town in Dafang County in the west, Honglin Yi and Miao Township and Hongshui town in the north, with an administrative area of 95.55 square kilometers.
During the Nanliang period, after the Rulu tribe of the Yi nationality occupied Shuixi area, Xixi and other places were controlled by soil and sand; in May 1984, the township was restored and changed into Linquan town; in July 1991, Xixi, Yaoping and Yeba towns were merged into Linquan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Linquan town was 33492. As of June 2020, Linquan town has jurisdiction over 4 communities and 11 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Linquan community.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Linquan town was 25.66 million yuan, an increase of 46.22% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 3972 yuan. In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Linquan town.
History of construction
In the period of Nanliang, after the Lulu tribe of Yi nationality occupied Shuixi area, Xixi and other places were controlled by soil and sand.
In the late Ming Dynasty, the market dragon farm (later named dog farm) appeared.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was qianxingli of Qianxi Prefecture. The government set up flood control in Xixi, and set up ponds and shops in yinaba (Yeba), Xinpu, yangjiahai, Songshugou and Xixi.
In 1927, Linquan township was established.
In 1932, it was changed to Linjia town.
In 1941, Linquan Town, chabai Township and Xixi Township were merged into Linquan township.
In May 1953, it was divided into six townships: Linquan, Xixi, Qinghai, Yaoping, Yeba and chabai.
In June 1955, Qinghai township was merged into Linquan township.
In September 1958, chabai township was merged into Yeba township. At the same time, all townships were changed into communes.
In May 1984, the township was restored and changed to Linquan town.
In July 1991, Xixi, Yaoping and Yeba townships were merged into Linquan town.
