Salaxi town is located in the west of Bijie City at 105.288162231 E and 27.30787546178 n. The government is 33 km away from the city center. It is the only way for three counties (Hezhang County, Weining County and Zhenxiong County in Zhaotong Prefecture of Yunnan Province) and six towns (Changchun, yejiao, Qingchang, Dahe, Fangzhu and Yangjiawan). The total length of national highway 326 is about 22 km. Name and origin
"Sala" is a transliteration of the Yi language. It was named Sala Bao in the Ming Dynasty because it was set up to garrison troops. In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Xili county and became a market. It was called Sala Xi (XI), so it was named Sala Xi.
