Characteristic advantages
Based on local conditions, clear thinking
Anshun yam Anshun yam is the characteristic product of planting industry in our region, and has a long planting history. Yam, also known as "medicine in the mountain", is one of the important vegetables, non-staple food and precious medicinal products in people's daily life. More than 300 years ago, Tunpu people in Liuguan area had the habit of digging wild yams to fry them on New Year's day. Wild yams were very popular among local people. Some people took the extra wild yams to the market for sale. At that time, Huang Maoxian, who lived in laobang village in Liuguan, planted the wild yam in his own field. The next year, it was bigger than the wild yam. In this way, he domesticated and purified it year after year, forming a local variety. Later, he expanded the planting area in laobang Village. The domesticated Yam products were sold in Jiuzhou, daxiqiao Town, Pingba County and other places, and were well received They like it.
The unique characteristics of Liuguan yam are as follows: the tuber is cylindrical, its underground tuber can be about 100cm long, the skin of yam is thin, the appearance is light brown, the root skin is yellow white, the flesh is white, and there is mucus. After peeling, the meat is white, and will not turn yellow after long time, and will not disperse after long time cooking. The meat is soft and delicate, and tastes slightly sweet. It is easy to be made into yam mud, yam powder, etc. The yield of Liuguan yam is 27-33 tons per hectare. Liuguanbai yam has become a characteristic agricultural product in Anshun.
In recent years, Chinese yam has been used as a pillar industry in Liuguan Township and planted in accordance with the technical specifications of green food. In June 2006, it was awarded the "certificate of origin identification of pollution-free agricultural products" by Guizhou Provincial Department of agriculture, with a production area of 4200 mu. Liuguan yam has begun to take shape and become one of the main channels for people to get rich in Liuguan township. In 2011, our Township plans to plant 3200 mu, with an estimated output of 8 million kg, an estimated output value of more than 144 million yuan, and an estimated profit of 80 million yuan.
Strengthen leadership and promote development
Xixiu District Party committee and government attached great importance to the development of Liuguan yam. The main leaders and leaders in charge of the district Party committee and government visited Liuguan Township many times to investigate and guide the rapid development of yam industry in Liuguan township. The township party committee and the township government set up a leading group for the development of yam industry headed by the main leaders of the township party committee and the township government, and set up a yam industry development office, which is responsible for the guidance, coordination, management and technology promotion of yam planting in the township. The township party and government team members, departments and groups, and staff help 5-10 farmers. Yam planting groups were also set up in yam planting villages. At the same time, yam planting will be included in the annual assessment of township and village cadres. In 2008, the District People's government implemented the poverty alleviation project of yam industrialization in Xinbang, Xinzhai and other villages of Liuguan Township, with a project fund of 1 million yuan, which greatly improved the basic conditions of yam planting in our Township and mobilized the enthusiasm of villagers. The Township People's government also actively hosted the "China? Guizhou? Liuguan mountain yam King competition "to publicize Liuguan yam and encourage farmers to plant Liuguan yam on a large scale, further develop the industrialization of yam planting, so as to promote the agricultural development of the whole Township and increase farmers' income.
Relying on the association to promote development
In order to develop industrialized planting, it is necessary to break the "zero, scattered and disordered" planting mode of small-scale peasant economy, and implement the farmers' cooperative economic organization. In accordance with the principle of "run by the people, manage by the people, and benefit from the people", Liuguan Township helped Xinbang and nancui villages to set up yam associations, with nearly 500 members. After the establishment of the association, the first is to actively invite relevant vegetable experts, lecturers and local talents to train the members of the association on standardized planting techniques, pest control, preservation of yam, storage of yam seeds in winter, selection of soil, fertilizer and fertilization techniques in yam planting, so as to improve the planting level of farmers. Second, actively explore the market, cooperate with enterprises such as Guizhou Huatai Green Food Co., Ltd. and farmers' markets in Liupanshui and Guiyang, and take the development mode of "company + farmers' market + association + farmers";
Third, we should actively strive for the strong support from the relevant departments of agriculture, poverty alleviation, science and technology, intellectual property, industry and commerce, banks and so on in the provincial and urban areas, and take the road of brand effect and intellectual property protection, so as to promote the value-added of Liuguan yam. The two associations have applied for the registration of "Liuguan yam" and "Anshun yam". On December 24, 2010, "Anshun yam" was recognized by the Ministry of agriculture. The two associations have concentrated the packaging of yams from members and farmers, named "Liuguan yam" and "Anshun yam", and sold them in gift boxes to Shanghai, Guangdong and other places, greatly increasing the added value of Liuguan yam and playing a positive role in promoting the development of yam industry. From 6 yuan per kilogram in 2006 to 18 yuan per kilogram in 2010, Liu Guanxiang will continue to work hard in the future, work hard, make persistent efforts, forge ahead, overcome difficulties, and promote better, faster, better and faster development of economic and social undertakings in Liu Guanxiang.
