Jiahu Township
Jiahu township is located in the southwest of Longnan City, 114 ° 39 ′ E and 24 ° 44 ′ n. It borders nanheng Township and Wudang town in the East, Yangcun town in the south, Jinlong town in QUANNAN County in the West and Chenglong town in the north, with a total area of 132.32 square kilometers.
As of August 2020, Jiahu township has jurisdiction over five administrative villages, including Huashu, Yangling, Songhu, Xincheng and Sanmen, with 61 villager groups, 4156 households and 14412 people.
History of construction
It belonged to taipingbao in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
In the 31 years of the Republic of China, the division was adjusted and called Jiahu township.
In the 36th year of the Republic of China, the district was adjusted and still called Jiahu township.
At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, there are two townships in Jiahu Township, Hexi and Hedong, belonging to the Sixth District (Yangcun).
In 1952, the division of Jiahu township was adjusted. Now there are four townships in Jiahu Township, Xincheng Township, Huashu Township and Sanmen Township, which still belong to the Sixth District.
In 1957, the division was adjusted, and now Jiahu township has two townships, Jiahu and Xincheng.
In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Jiulianshan reclamation farm.
In 1961, it was separated from Jiulianshan reclamation farm, which was called Jiahu reclamation farm.
In 1964, Jiahu reclamation farm was changed to Jiahu people's commune.
In 1984, it was renamed Jiahu township.

Jiahu township is located in the middle branch of Jiulian Mountain, which belongs to Nanling Mountain system. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. There are seven peaks with an altitude of more than 600 meters, of which 300 apricots is the highest peak in the township. The highest point is 300 meters, with an altitude of 881.8 meters. The lowest point is the dog shaped pit of Sanmen village, with an altitude of 260 meters.
Climatic characteristics
Jiahu township has a subtropical monsoon humid climate with four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 17.8 ℃, the frost free period is 276 days, the rainfall is abundant, and the temperature difference between day and night is large.
Water system hydrology
The main rivers in Jiahu township are Taiping River and its tributaries. Taiping River originates from Baisha in Wudang town and Huangkeng, Zixia and Jiulian Mountain in Yangcun town. After the confluence of Yangcun, it flows into Jiahu from southeast to northwest, and then flows into Taojiang river through the estuary of Panshi village, Chenglong town. It is a secondary tributary of the main stream of Taojiang River, with a total length of 41.8 km, an average width of about 15 m and a pebble bed. The rainfall collection area is 435 square kilometers. Jiahu township is 27 kilometers away.
Jiahu township has an average annual rainfall of 1670.4mm, and there are 16 tributaries flowing into the Jiahu basin, with a total length of 191.95km and a rainfall collection area of 435km2. There are 5 hydropower stations built along the Taiping River in Jiahu, with a total installed capacity of 4635kw, forming 5 large reservoirs, and more than 30 fishing and leisure pavilions built along the river.

The main mineral resources of Jiahu township are tungsten, tin, iron, coal, asbestos, phosphorus, limestone, nickel, geothermal hot spring, etc.
Ba tungsten mine is located 7.5km south of jiahuwei, Jiahu Township, at the junction of Yangling village and Yangcun Town, under the jurisdiction of Jiahu township. There are 32 ore bearing quartz veins larger than 0.05m in the mining area, including about 15 veins with a range of 0.05-0.09, 12 veins with a range of 0.1-0.19m and 5 veins larger than 0.2m; the length of veins is generally 100-340m, the longest is 15 vein 846m, the shortest is 30m, and the ore body grade is sno.034-0.398%, wo30.025-3.643%. The veins are divided into three groups of EW, Nee and NWW, most of which dip to the South with an inclination of 75-85. It is preliminarily found out that the useful minerals in the mining area are wolframite, scheelite and cassiterite, and the associated metal minerals are pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, beryl, etc.; the geological conditions for the formation of tin and tungsten deposits are preliminarily analyzed, and the reserves of tin and tungsten are estimated, in which the amount of tin metal is 1223 tons, and the amount of tungsten metal is 6140 tons, which is a medium-sized tin and tungsten deposit.
Hot spring is located in Jiahu Township Jiahu polder 200 meters east of Huashu village next to the Taiping River (also known as Huashu hot spring, hot water pool). The hot spring belt is about 500 meters long, and there are more than 10 hot spots. The geothermal water temperature is 63 ℃, and the highest water temperature at the outlet is 92 ℃. It contains lithium, silicon water, fluorine water, etc., which belongs to hot mineral water. It is proved that the prospective reserves of geothermal water in the mining area is 4948.20 cubic meters per day, and the mining area is a medium-sized geothermal field.
Iron, coal and limestone are mainly distributed in the middle cave of Songhu village. Asbestos, phosphate rock and nickel are mainly distributed in shuangluo, Xincheng village.

Jiahu township is rich in forest resources with 2796 species belonging to 1112 genera and 297 families. Among them, there are 2290 species belonging to 866 genera and 180 families of angiosperms, 31 species belonging to 11 genera and 8 families of gymnosperms, 188 species belonging to 86 genera and 41 families of pteridophytes, 287 species belonging to 137 genera and 66 families of bryophytes, 139 species belonging to 24 families of fungi, which belong to the national first-class key protected wild plants, including ancient ginkgo biloba (beside Huashan temple in Basong).

Economics
The main income of Jiahu township is migrant workers, and the vast majority of young and middle-aged labor force are migrant workers. Migrant workers are mainly distributed in Guangdong and around the county. Besides migrant workers entering the factory, they are also engaged in furniture and decoration industry in Nankang and other places.
The cultivated land area of Jiahu township is 524.7 hectares, including 391.8 hectares of paddy field and 132.9 hectares of dry land. The forest area is 8214.66 hectares, including 3060 hectares of broad-leaved forest, 3938 hectares of coniferous forest, 204 hectares of mixed forest and 1012.60 hectares of Phyllostachys pubescens, Camellia oleifera and fruit trees.
There are 89 navel orange growers in Jiahu Township, with a planting area of 1957 mu. In sanmen'ao, a pollution-free, high-yield and high-quality rice base was built, and two hundred mu contiguous early rice bases were built in Zhongdong and Xiazhuang. A thousand mu Camellia oleifera base has been built in Yangling.
Jiahu township has purchased 10 row stores in Weizhen town and established "grassroots organization Pioneer Park". Each village has two stores, increasing the income of each village by 12000 yuan every year. The shops in "hundred villages Pioneer Park" in the county town have been rented, increasing the income of each village by more than 50000 yuan every year. Sanmen village, Songhu village and Xincheng village increased their income by 90000 yuan through public welfare forest subsidies.

famous scenery
Changgang temple. It is located in Changgangling hill of Jiahu new town. The hill looks like a golden turtle, and the temple looks like a golden seal on the turtle's back, so it is called "golden turtle belt seal". Changgang temple was built in the middle of the Yuan Dynasty. The temple has two entrances. There are eight patios and side rooms in the middle. It is of brick and wood structure and has four corners. It covers an area of about 1500 square meters. In 1972, Xincheng primary school was expanded, the temple was demolished, and the site became the school playground. More than 700 years ago, it is one of the oldest temples in Taiping.
Songhua mountain nunnery. It is located in the middle of Basong Huashan Mountain, Yangling village, Jiahu township. It was built in 1938 and rebuilt in 2001. It is still in good condition. There is a patio in the middle and two wing rooms on the left and right. In the middle of the upper building is a shrine, hanging on the top of the mountain, with civil structure.
The temple of the emperor. It is located on the west side of the highway about 300 meters away from Huashu village longjingkou hydropower station. It was demolished during the cultural revolution and rebuilt in 1998. Single room temple, brick and wood structure, hanging on the top of the mountain, about 20 square meters.
Qingyunshan nunnery. Located in Songhu village, Jiahu Township, Meijiu dog arm hole tail. It was built in 1862. The nunnery has two entrances, with a patio in the middle and two wing rooms on the left and right. The upper and lower parts of the nunnery are built with blue bricks. The front gate is built with stones, and the side room is rammed with loess. It is a stone, soil, and wood structure, suspended on the top of the mountain, covering an area of about 250 square meters. 158 years ago, it has collapsed.
Shuikou nunnery. It is located in xiahebei, Sanmen village, Jiahu Township, 250 meters to the East. It was built in the year of 1911 in Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty (1851). It has a single room and a single temple. It has a civil structure and is suspended on the top of the mountain. It covers an area of 60 square meters. There is a shrine 2 meters away from the entrance and a Temple corridor behind. There is a building in the back half of the corridor. It was rebuilt in October 1913 and repaired three times in 2018. The temple was moved to the foot of the 50 meter mountain and renamed "Fuzhu Temple". It is 169 years ago, with red brick and wood structure hanging on the top of the mountain.
Wugu temple. Also known as wugutan, it is located in Huashu village, Jiahu Township, on the North Bank of a small river 50 meters away from the intersection of Taiping River and Meijiu river. It was built in the early Qing Dynasty. The temple has two entrances, a patio in the middle and four side rooms. Civil structure, hanging on the top of the mountain, covering an area of about 120 square meters. In the early days of liberation, flowers and trees were set up here. They were washed down by floods in 1966. After the reconstruction of Jiahu Central Primary School, now Jiahu school.
Guanyin temple. Located at the intersection of Taiping River and Zhongdong river at the back of Huashu village, Jiahu Township, the temple was built in the early Qing Dynasty. It has two entrances, a patio in the middle, four houses, brick and wood structure, hanging on the top of the mountain, covering an area of about 120 square meters. It was demolished in 1967.
