Bingtu township is adjacent to tagu Township in the East, Suluo Township in the west, yiguojue Township in the north, and ekugu and NIHA Township in the south. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The northwest is a branch of amitro mountain, with an altitude of 3722 meters; the southeast is 2060 meters. The township government is located in bingtu, siganpu village. There is a rural highway connecting with Chengmei highway, 38 kilometers away from the county. There are 708 households in 32 groups in 5 villages of Dapu, tekou, 4000pu, qujiwatuo and wanluo. The population density is 46.26 per square kilometer.
Historical evolution
In September 1955, four townships, namely siganpu, wanluo, tekou and Hongjing, were set up, which were subordinate to the first district of Hongxi county. In August 1957, the four townships were merged into siganpu Township, with 4000 villages under the township administration, and the subordinate relationship remained unchanged. In October 1958, it was changed to the ancient area of equ. After yijinglada township was abolished, tekou village under its jurisdiction was included and a township people's Committee was established. In May 1968, the Township Reform Committee was established. In March 1974, it was converted into a commune. On July 12, 1981, the commune reform committee was changed into the management committee. At the end of the year, it was renamed bingtu commune. In July 1984, the township system was restored and the township government was established.
On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish bingtu Township and put the former administrative region of bingtu Township under the jurisdiction of equ ancient township. The people's Government of equ ancient township was stationed at No. 2, group 3, leijuemo village.
Basic introduction
In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 782000 yuan (254000 yuan for agriculture, 48000 yuan for forestry, 207000 yuan for animal husbandry, 273000 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of cultivated land was 7244 mu, and the total grain output was 815000 kg. The main production of potato, adopted son, corn, oats, pepper. There are 871 yellow cattle, 3 Buffalo, 4529 pigs, 1951 goats and 4783 sheep. There are 1 commercial purchasing and marketing group and 1 Bank Credit Union in the township, 4 rural primary schools with 125 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff.
