Famous scenic spot
Dajin Temple
In Tibetan, it means prosperous and auspicious Island, which is called "prosperous Temple" for short. It belongs to the Gelug school, with a construction area of 148000 square meters. The main hall is modeled after the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. The building is of reinforced concrete structure with one floor and three floors. The monk's house is built around the main hall. The layout of the whole temple is clear and orderly. The temple architecture absorbs the advantages of the Han and Tibetan architectural art, and appears solemn and magnificent.
According to reports, the front Temple of Dajin temple, that is, the temple in dagelong ravine, has a long history and was built at least 600 years ago.
The temple, with a construction area of 148000 square meters, faces south from the north and is built close to the mountain. It is well arranged. The building integrates the characteristics of Han and Tibetan architecture. It is built with logs and soil in Lhasa Jokhang Temple. The color is red and white. It looks like an Art Palace, solemn, beautiful and majestic. The first floor and the third floor of the main hall were built after the 1980s. It is a reinforced concrete structure with giant statues of Sakyamuni, zongkaba and adixia. In the history of the temple, there were 3000 monks. Marshal Zhu De once took a group photo with Geda living Buddha of Baili temple.
Most of the villagers around rongbacha are proud of Dajin temple, which is probably inseparable from the powerful power of the temple. During the Qing Dynasty, Dajin temple was famous for its monks, soldiers and wealth. The business capital is between 1 million and 5 million silver yuan. There are special lamas who do business in major places in Tibet, such as Kangding, Ganzi, Changdu and Lhasa, to support the life of other lamas in the temple. In addition, the 1931 dispute between Dajin temple and Baili temple is also very famous.
The most lively activity of the temple is playing dam in salvaging ditch in July and August every year. The surrounding villagers will come to see Tibetan Opera and take part in singing, horse racing and dancing in Guozhuang (Ganzi Guozhuang is similar to tap dance). In addition, in June, the nearby holy mountain (like King Gesar's helmet) has a mountain circling activity, which is also one of the more lively activities in the local area.
The Temple belongs to the Gelug Sect. The monks have strict discipline. The gate is closed at night. If they want to go out, they have to get the permission of gexi.
