Chazha Township

Chazha township is under the jurisdiction of Ganzi County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Chazha township is located in the northwest of the county, 115 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 1109.87 square kilometers and has a population of 3763 (2017). It has jurisdiction over seven village committees, namely Yinduo, sesutang, Yalong, duoga, Mutong 1, Mutong 2 and Geke.

Historical evolution

Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of the Tusi of hormashu; in 1959, it set up a township; in 1960, it changed to gajia commune; in 1983, it changed its name to chazha township.

economic development

Chazha township is a pure animal husbandry Township, mainly raising yaks and goats. The territory produces Cordyceps, Fritillaria and other precious medicinal materials and gold.
