Qimei Township

Qimei township is the southernmost township of Penghu County, Taiwan Province. It was formerly known as Lantau, Nantian island and Nanyu. It was originally called "Lantau township". In order to commemorate the "seven beautiful women graves" incident that Japanese invaders forced seven beautiful women to join the well during Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, it was renamed "seven beautiful America township" in 1949. Located in the south of Penghu Islands, the township is the fifth largest island in Penghu County.
