Beimiao town is subordinate to Tongchuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is 52 kilometers away from the main urban area of Dazhou City, covering an area of 62.36 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 14 villages, 65 villager groups and one community, with a total population of 23000. It mainly produces rice, wheat, potato and rape. Historical evolution
It was built in 1851. The stone temple, 5 kilometers south of the site, was built in 1802, the seventh year of Jiaqing. Later, the word "Bei" in beipai River and the word "Miao" in shimiaochang are taken as the name of Bei temple. Qing Dynasty belongs to Qingfeng township of suiding Prefecture, and set up Beimiao Township in 1940. In February 1951, the monument temple was called the township office. In October of the same year, the Township People's government was established, belonging to the Sixth District. February 1951 belongs to the Tenth District. December 1955 belongs to Beimiao district. It was changed into commune in 1958 and township in 1984. In 1996, it covers an area of 60.2 square kilometers and has a population of 21000. It has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages and a neighborhood committee, including Yanjing, Sanguan, Leigu, Chaotian, Qiankou, Wanfu, Daying, Fulong, Dashi, sanshang, Zhongping, Luogu, stalagmite and doukeng. On September 20, 2000, the township was withdrawn to build a town, which still belongs to Beimiao district. On July 1, 2001, the district was withdrawn, and Beimiao town was under the direct management of the county, and the office space was moved from the original Beimiao township (Beijin Road) to the original Beimiao district office.
On July 18, 2013, "Sichuan Provincial People's government's reply on agreeing to adjust some administrative divisions of Dazhou city" (CFH No. 209): with the approval of the State Council, it is agreed that Beimiao town of the original Daxian county will be put under the jurisdiction of Tongchuan District of Dazhou city.
