Liusheng Township

Liusheng Township, Dongpo District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province is located at the junction of Dongpo District and Renshou and Qingshen counties. It governs six administrative villages with an area of 22.7 square kilometers and a population of 10378 (2017). The township government is 28km away from Dongpo District. There are different grades of roads leading to Dongpo District and Renshou and Qingshen nearby towns.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Gaotai Township and Wuhuang village of Fuxing Township in Qingshen county were under the jurisdiction of Liusheng township. In August 1950, Liusheng rural farmers association was established, and in October 1950, the Township Office was changed to Township People's government. In October 1958, Yongshou, Shifo, Taiping, Fuxing, Wuhuang, Liusheng, Jinhua and Luoping merged into Yongshou commune. In September 1977, Liu Sheng and Jinhua merged into Jinhua commune. In September 1980, the district social system was restored, and the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was changed into the commune management committee. In January 1984, the commune management committee was changed to the Township People's government.

In December 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved that Liusheng Township and Fuxing township should be abolished and Fuxing town should be established. The administrative area of Fuxing town should be the former Fuxing Township, the former Liusheng Township and the former Tongzheng street community of Jinhua Township, Zhengyi village, changshangeng village, Baita village, Jinhua Village and Hongling village. Fuxing Town People's government is located at No. 22 Xingwang street.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association confirmed Liusheng township as the National Health Township in 2019.

Basic information

Liusheng township is located in the southwest of Chengdu Plain with hilly terrain. Liusheng township is a subtropical humid climate zone, with no severe cold in winter, no severe heat in summer, rare frost and snow, flat terrain, fertile soil, mild climate, four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall, which is very suitable for crop growth. The annual average temperature is 17.2 ℃, and the annual average precipitation is 850mm.

The area of cultivated land is 16400 mu, including 14100 mu of paddy field, 2300 mu of dry land and 994 mu of forest land. In 2011, agriculture reached 30.67 million yuan, an increase of 16% over the previous year, accounting for 25.52% of GDP.

Rice and corn are the main food crops. In 2011, 11348 tons of grain were produced, with a per capita grain output of 799 kg. The main economic crops are rape and peanut. The planting area of oil crops is 486 mu, and the output is 682 tons, including 650 tons of rapeseed, 32 tons of peanut, and 903 mu of vegetable, with the output of 27096 tons.

In 2011, there were 55000 pigs and 262500 poultry. The total output value of animal husbandry was 25.2 million yuan, accounting for 82% of the total agricultural output value.

As of 2011, the total afforestation area is 11000 mu, with the forest coverage rate of 29.2%. In 2011, the fruit planting area is 5600 mu, with the output of 2107 tons. The main varieties are Aiyuan 38, Golden Finger Grape and Dongpo navel orange.

Crucian carp and Hypophthalmichthys molitrix are mainly used in fishery. The area of aquaculture is 100000 square meters. The area of fish pond is 20 mu, and the output is 450 tons. The total output value of fishery is 4 million yuan, accounting for 13% of the total agricultural output value.

In 2011, the famous and high-quality special agricultural products included Aiyuan No. 38, golden finger grape, peanuts and Dongpo navel orange. The per capita net income of farmers was 5913 yuan, an increase of 12.6% over the previous year.

Forestry investment promotion and cultivation of industrial raw material forest base. All kinds of Mantou mountains and barren hills and slopes are used to introduce owners for development. The township party committee and government organized a small team to Jiajiang to recommend the introduction of projects to the owners, which received a positive response. Now the owner Dai Shengli of Sandong town of Jiajiang has been successfully introduced to contract 220 mu of mountainous area in Shiliu village and Guihua Village of Liusheng township. The township realized the compensated transfer of 3000 mu of management rights.

Adjust the industrial structure and realize the "one-stop" of planting and breeding. Relying on the rabbit industry association to develop meat rabbit breeding, 100 breeding households in pomegranate and other fields were cultivated, and 200000 high-quality meat rabbits were sold throughout the year. On the basis of expanding 500 mu of high-quality Ponkan planting, sericulture has been vigorously developed, with 250 mu of small mulberry garden developed and 300 mu of new small mulberry garden developed. The township will also develop 300 mu of mushroom cultivation, and introduce Emei health fungus industry to set up mushroom processing plants in the township, so as to realize "one-stop" production and marketing.
