Beiyuan town is located in the east of Nanbu County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. It borders nanmu town in the East, Yongding town in the west, Xiehe town in the South and Fuxing Township in Langzhong in the north. It is 18 kilometers away from the southern county. Tangba highway runs through the town. It is the only way to Yilong, Bazhong, Nanjiang and Tongjiang in the south. Yuji mountain scenic spot, a national AAA scenic spot, is located in the territory. The town has 14 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 142 villager groups. The total population of the town is 19215, with 4796 households, including 17798 agricultural population and 1417 urban population. It covers an area of 32 square kilometers, with a total cultivated area of 13053 mu, including 3987 mu of paddy fields and 6075 mu of cash crops.

Historical development

In the history of Beiyuan Town, agriculture was the main industry, and farmers relied on primitive production tools to grow grain for a living. Under the influence of backward ideas, farmers are too busy to have much surplus food in a year. With the deepening of reform and opening up and market economic system, Beiyuan town has made great efforts to adjust the industrial structure, so that the single agricultural economy can develop into a diversified economy.

In agricultural production. Starting from the reality of Beiyuan Town, we should vigorously develop the pillar industries of sericulture, live pigs, Rex Rabbits and vegetables, expand the sown area of cash crops, strive to improve the multiple cropping index, adjust the proportion of grain and economy, and rely on science and technology to increase grain output. By 2006, the total agricultural output value of the town reached 38.76 million yuan. Yuji mountain scenic spot

Yuji mountain is located in Beiyuan town of Nanbu County, more than 20 kilometers away from the county. Located in the middle reaches of Jialing River, it belongs to Daba Mountain with an altitude of 655 meters. Yuji mountain is famous for the footprints left by Dayu's flood control, and Dayu's miracles still exist today. Yuji mountain, as an important Millennium scenic spot in Northeast Sichuan, has the reputation of "langnan immortal land" and "the first famous mountain of Jialing" since ancient times. It is also a Buddhist resort for ancestors to pilgrimage to the mountains.

Yuji mountain is located on the East Bank of Jialing River. Surrounded by mountains, it is majestic and winding, with the potential of "holding the saint in Jiulong". In the East, there are Yuchi mountain and Jinji mountain, in the west, there are flying stones, waves and pines, beautiful scenery, Buddha light and shadow, and the sea of clouds. One of the 14 sceneries in the south, Yuzhuo Qinglan, is even more colorful. Yuji stone, Qixing stone, hehe Erxian, golden turtle pilgrimage and other stone landscapes are all over the mountains, especially the large area of continental sedimentary landform on the top of the mountain is a great geological wonder. Yujishan Giant Buddha, 18 meters high, carved in the late Tang Dynasty, is a provincial cultural relic protection unit. It is China's largest stone carved round standing Buddha. Together with Leshan seated Buddha and Dazu Reclining Buddha, it is known as the "three great Buddhas of Bashu". The beauty of its appearance and charm can be rated as the best of Sichuan Giant Buddha statues. The Yuji mountain stronghold and the secret road of the ancient castle surrounded by five gates build the largest and most complete ancient military fortification system in Sichuan, forming a unique landscape of "mountain is a castle, Castle is a mountain". In 2008, yujishan scenic spot was successfully established as a national AAA scenic spot, and became a religious and cultural tourist attraction in Northeast Sichuan integrating scenic spot tourism, religious culture, sightseeing and leisure.
