Fomen township is located in the southwest of Gaoping District of Nanchong City, close to the urban area of Nanchong City, 3 km away from the residence of the district government. County Road Nanyue highway runs through the whole territory from north to south, and Ring Expressway (Planning) runs through the East and West.
On October 8, 2010, Sichuan Provincial People's Government (No. 10, Chuanfu civil administration) approved the renaming of Jinshui Township in Gaoping District of Nanchong City as fomen township.
Lingyun mountain scenic spot, which mainly relies on the tourism resources of Baishan Mountain in the township, has been rated as a National Forest Park and a national 4A scenic spot.
The newly established fomen Township covers an area of 51.94 square kilometers, with a total of 14134 people (2017), including 21 administrative villages, one neighborhood committee, four schools and two villages, including Aiguo, Shengli, Lianhua, Hehua, Yinhua, Jinhua, Huaguang, Yuwang temple, Qilong, xiongshan, Qunshan, dafoyan, Zoumaling, Panlong temple, jiangmuling, Zhenwu, Baishan, Sanwang temple, Zhenwu temple and jiuliban A credit union, a health center and other units. Township run enterprises have agricultural and sideline products processing, construction and other industries. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, and sweet potato, citrus. It produces soaking mineral spring, white ore (building stone), Huangyang, etc.
General situation
There is Guanghua temple in Ming Dynasty. In 1938, Longshi town was set up as fomen town. In the following year, Folong town was built with fomen town and Longshi town. In 1941, fomen town was restored. In 1958, it was changed into commune. In 1983, it was restored. In 1992, it was merged into Jianlong town. In 1993, it was separated from Longshi town and restored to fomen town. In 1997, it covered an area of 26.9 square kilometers and had a population of 15000. At the end, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, including Xinchang, Zhongfeng, Yunji, yuanqiang, Fengya, Niantang, Suping, Songbai, Shashi and ancestral hall. In July 2006, the former Xiaofo Township in Gaoping District was abolished and incorporated into Jinshui township as a whole. The Township People's government was stationed in the Jinshui farm. It connects Laojun town and Wanxiang town of Gaoping District in the East, Qinxi town and Tuanjie Township of Yuechi County of Guang'an City in the southeast, Quejia town of Gaoping District in the south, Qingxi sub district office and Yong'an town in the west, and Qinglian and Qingsong sub district office in the north. Lingyun mountain scenic spot, which mainly relies on the Baishan tourism resources in the township, has been rated as a National Forest Park and a national 4A scenic spot, which has brought good development opportunities for the immersion village. Many villagers actively advocate to develop tourism economy and expand its influence and popularity by virtue of the reputation of the scenic spot.
