Jinyan township is under the jurisdiction of Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. In 1954, the three townships of Russia, Waluo and Reshui were established. Jinyan mountain is located in Jinyan township. Yi People's name is "yi'e Pei Zhi" (meaning tooth like rock).
