Yujin town
Yujin Town, belonging to Qianwei County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, is located on the West Bank of the lower reaches of Minjiang River. It is adjacent to Xiaogu town in the East, Zhagu and Jiujing towns in the south, Shuangxi and Tongxing towns in the west, Tangba and Yujin towns in the north. Yujin town is the seat of Qianwei County, covering an area of 81.5 square kilometers.
By 2019, Yujin town has jurisdiction over 61 villager groups in 4 villages, namely Lianhe, Tonggao, airport and Hefeng, and 154 resident groups in 10 communities, namely Fenghuang, Ruixue, Huhe, Fengling, Xuefu, Xijie, Yujin, Shuyu, Nanyan and Hezhu.
In 2017, there were 894 enterprises in Yujin Town, with 30557 employees, including 110 industrial enterprises and 26 large-scale enterprises.
Historical evolution
In the third year of Ming Dynasty (936), it was Qianwei county administrative office, which had been moved many times. In the fourth year of Hongwu (1371), the county administrative office had not been changed since it was moved back from Xunfei town (now Qingxi Town). He has been a county governor for more than 700 years.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it was named Chengxiang Town, which was under the jurisdiction of Zhongcheng town (renamed at the beginning of the Republic of China) and Qigao Township in the Republic of China.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the joint insurance system was implemented. Qigao township was incorporated into Zhongcheng Town, and the original 40 insurances were adjusted to 28 insurances.
In 1935, it was a regional office.
In March 1951, it was renamed new town. In order to meet the needs of the land reform movement, the whole town was divided into one town and three townships, namely Xinyao town (only under the jurisdiction of the first to the fourteenth boroughs of the streets in the town); Anle Township, Huangqi Township and Tonggao township (renamed Gao Township in September 1953).
In December 1952, group 12, Fanshen village, Xiangping (incorporated into Tangba Township in 1956), was assigned to Sheng (now Fenghuang) village, Anle township.
In March 1956, huangqi and Gaojia townships were merged into Anle Township, and the township government was stationed in xiongjiaqiao. In September that year, due to the inundation of yuezheba reservoir, group 2 of Aiguo village in Tangba township was assigned to Jinxing agricultural community (now Huhe Village) in Anle township.
In September 1958, Xincheng town and Anle Township were merged into Xincheng people's commune.
In July 1959, Xincheng town and Anle Township were separated, and the scope of administrative division before September 1958 was restored.
In January 1960, the new town was renamed Chengguan town; from January 1950 to July 1962, it was the residence of the first district office.
In November 1981, it changed its name to Yujin Town, hence the name of Biyu from Minjiang River.
In 1984, Huangqi village of Anle township was divided into three villages: Hefeng village, Xiangyun village and Ruixue village; Hekou village and zhushitan village set up residents' committees with 12 residents' groups. In that year, there were 12 villages, 99 villager groups, 2 neighborhood committees and 12 resident groups in Anle township.
In December 1986, five villages, such as Shuiku, daling, Honghua, Gonghe and Xiangyun, were abolished, of which Shuiku and Daling were merged into Huhe village; groups 1, 4 and 5 of Honghua village were merged into Lianhe Village (Group 14, 15 and 16 of Lianhe Village), groups 2 and 3 were merged into Tonggao Village (Group 16 and 17 of Tonggao Village); groups 1-6 of Gonghe village were merged into Tonggao Village (Group 10-15 of Tonggao Village), and groups 7-9 were merged into Tonggao village Lianhe Village (Group 11-13 of Lianhe Village); Xiangyun village group 1-4 and group 9 are divided into Hefeng Village (Group 10-14 of Hefeng Village); group 5-8 are divided into Ruixue Village (Group 10-13 of Ruixue Village); Lianhe village group 1 is divided into Huhe village and group 15.
In July 1988, some groups of Huhe village and Fenghuang village in Anle Township were transferred to Yujin town to establish Fengshi Street residents committee.
In September 1992, Anle township was abolished and merged into Yujin town to implement the system of town governing village.
In June 1999, Fengshi Street neighborhood committee was abolished and divided into seven neighborhood committees: Fengling street, Wuyin street, tianshengyuan street, Xuefu street, Shengquan street, Shuyu street and shijianqiao street.
In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the approval of Leshan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Qianwei County, cancelled Tangba Township and Xiadu Township, and divided the administrative areas of tangbakou community, Yuejin Village, Xiangping village, Zhenjiang village, Hongguang Village, Aiguo village, Jianshan Village and Dukou community, Kaixuan village, Baiyang village, Shilong village, Wenbi village and Xiangrong village in the former Tangba township Under the jurisdiction of Yujin Town, the people's Government of Yujin town is located at 220 South Street.

In 2015, Yujin town had a total grain planting area of 5762 mu, 1450 mu of rape, 100 mu of rice comprehensive high-yield demonstration plot, and 1000 mu of corn covered with plastic film. We will implement high-yield demonstration plots and science and technology demonstration households, and determine 251 mu of demonstration plots for green prevention and control of rice, corn and vegetables and dry seedling cultivation in Lianhe, airport and Hefeng village respectively. The control rate of rice stem borer, rice blast, corn borer and sheath blight reached more than 95%. 4 mu of tobacco leaf disease and pest control field and 1.85 mu of new rice variety field were newly implemented.

Qianwei Confucian temple, located at 297 South Street of Yujin Town, is a national AAA scenic spot. It was listed as the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2006. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and rebuilt in 1371, with a history of more than 600 years. It covers an area of 24000 square meters, with a construction area of 3443 square meters, complete structure and grand momentum. Especially the stone carvings are exquisite. The palace style ancient buildings of the Han nationality in Ming and Qing Dynasties are unique. They are the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient working people and the concentrated embodiment of the national art.
