Sujiawan town

Sujiawan is located in Zizhong County, Sichuan Province.

Sujiawan town is located in the east of Zizhong County. The town government is located in sujiawanchang Town, 13 kilometers away from Zizhong County.

In December 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, sujiawan town was cancelled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Chonglong Town, which was stationed at 159 Houxi street.

Tuojiang River and Mengxi River accompany each other. In 1815, it was named sujiawan. In 1914, it was renamed sujiawan. In 1951, it was renamed sujiazhen. In 1955, it was renamed sujiawan people's government. In 1958, it was merged into sujiawan people's government. In 1981, it was renamed sujiawan commune. It has an area of 65.44 square kilometers, a total population of 20839 (2017), a cultivated land area of 41945 mu, 25 villages and 1 neighborhood committee. It is adjacent to Fuxi Township, Dongxing District in the East, Mingxinsi town across the river in the south, Chonglong town in the West and Shizi Township in the north. It is located in shallow hills, with abundant rainfall, fertile land, rich mineral resources and various products, including strip stone, river sand, stone and shale. Rich in peanuts, sugar cane, pepper, citrus, pear. There are more than 20 large and small enterprises, among which the key enterprise lime sand brick factory has an annual output of more than 30 million high-quality lime sand bricks. The water and land transportation runs through the whole town, and the communication is developed. 246 program-controlled telephones have been installed in the whole town, basically realizing the village to village telephone, and cable TV covers the whole town. In 1998, the gross national product (GNP) reached 2013 million yuan, and the total agricultural output value was 30.19 million yuan. Since the establishment of the town, all the work in Zizhong County has been among the best, and has been rated as the "four good" leading group for four consecutive years. There are 2100 mu of sericulture, 1460 mu of economic forest, including 345 mu of rose tangerine, 975 mu of lemon and 140 mu of Nectarine; 2793 mu of ecological forest, including 135 mu of Eucalyptus grandis, 1565 mu of Dendrocalamus latiflorus and 918 mu of poplar.

There is a green vegetable garden of 1200 mu, mainly producing four leaf vegetables and kohlrabi. Longma Sanguantang has a rough processing plant with an annual output of 100 tons of kohlrabi. There is a Dingli Shicai factory with an annual output of 8000 cubic meters in the town. There are 1 small reservoir and 3 small type-2 reservoirs in the area, with an annual output of 650 tons of fish.
