Jingmin town
Jingmin town is located in the northeast of Shizhong District, 9.5km away from Neijiang City. It is adjacent to Sihe Township and Jiaotong Township in the East, Baima town in the south, Fengming Township in the West and Gong hometown in the north, covering an area of 16.2km. The terrain in the northwest is higher than that in the southeast, with an average altitude of 369.5 meters.
On December 4, 2019, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some township administrative divisions in Neijiang City (No. 11 of Chuanfu civil administration): Sihe town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Jingmin Town, which was stationed at No. 52 shouxiqiao road.

There are 12 administrative villages, one community, 133 villager groups in the town, with a total population of 13622 (2017). In 1996, it was approved by the municipal Party committee and the municipal government as a pilot town for the construction of key small towns. In 1998, the gross output value of industry and agriculture was 90 million yuan (37 million yuan for Industry and 53 million yuan for agriculture): there were 14 health institutions, including 1 town health center, 1 junior middle school, 8 primary schools, 117 staff and 2850 students.

It is located in a shallow hill, with an average altitude of 329.4 meters, an average annual temperature of 21 ℃, and an average annual rainfall of 1000 mm. It covers an area of 16.2 square kilometers, with more than 16447 mu of arable land. The town has 16000 mu of arable land, including 6679 mu of farmland and 9921 mu of soil (including 2973 mu of returning farmland to forest in recent years). It is a big agricultural town in Shizhong District of Neijiang City. It is rich in rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, sugarcane, rape, peanut, fruit, sea pepper, mushroom, etc., and its income has reached 40% of the output value of planting industry. The breeding industry of pig, chicken, duck, goose, rabbit, silkworm, sheep, cow and flying fish has developed rapidly. As a big agricultural town, the town focuses on the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure of "Zhitian pepper" and lemon production in South Korea. The town has 3000 mu of lemon and 1400 mu of pollution-free vegetable "Zhitian pepper" in South Korea, which has begun to take shape and become the characteristic and highlight of agricultural industry in Jingmin town. Breeding industry mainly focuses on pigs and small poultry, and develops 136 large breeding households in the whole town, so as to drive the development of breeding industry in the whole town.

The enterprises in Jingmin town mainly include six enterprises represented by Geely plastic industry company (located in jingminchang Town, covering an area of 1200 square meters, producing and operating PVC pipes, profiled materials, line pipes and noodles, with an annual output value of 4 million yuan). A new comprehensive agricultural market, covering an area of 19 mu.
Historical evolution
In 1934, when Neijiang county set up a regional office, jingminchang was changed into Jingmin Township, which was subordinate to four districts (the district office was located in Maoshi town). In 1947, Jingmin township was subordinate to three districts (the district office was located in renmao town). In March 1951, in order to adapt to the land reform, Jingmin township was divided into three townships: Jingyong, Jinghe and Jingping, all of which belong to the eleven districts (the district office is located in Zhang's hometown). In 1953, Jingyong, Jinghe and Jingping were regarded as Jingmin and Jinglian townships, still under the jurisdiction of the eleven districts. At the end of 1955, Jingmin Township and Jinglian Township were merged into Jingmin Township, which belonged to Shijia district. In the autumn of 1958, during the people's commune movement, nine townships and one town in Shijia district were merged to establish Shunjiang people's commune. The original township was changed into administrative district, and Jingmin township was changed into Shunjiang commune and Jingmin administrative district. In 1962, Shunjiang commune was changed into Jingmin commune. After the "Cultural Revolution" began in 1966, Jingmin commune was changed into Guangrong commune. It was renamed Jingmin commune in 1970. In April 1984, Jingmin commune was changed into Jingmin Township, still under the jurisdiction of Shijia district. In November 1989, Neijiang county was abolished and Dongxing District of Neijiang City was established. In August 1992, Jingmin Township and Fengming Township merged to establish Jingmin Town, Zhili Dongxing District. In October 1995, the former Jingmin town of Dongxing District was put under the jurisdiction of Shizhong District and renamed Jingmin town of Shizhong District of Neijiang City. In July 1996, seven villages, including Fengming, Longdong, Tiantai, bailayuan, sanbianchong, wangbanqiao and shufangwan, were separated from Jingmin town to build Fengming township. In 2004, Jingmin town governed 12 villages, 131 groups (communities) and 1 community in Shima, Sanxing, Chang'an, shigu, Shuangyan, Liangfeng, Bailin, Gaoyang, gaoti, Shiba, Shiqiao and Shuangtang. on December 4, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved to cancel Sihe town and put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Jingmin town.
