Taifu Town, located on the Bank of the Yangtze River in the east of Luxian County, Sichuan Province, covers an area of 122.77 square kilometers, forming a basic pattern of Commerce, culture and tourism. It is the first agricultural town in Luzhou City, a provincial "cultural advanced town" and a national longan production base.

Taifu town is located on the Bank of the Yangtze River in the east of Luxian County, bordering Yongchuan District, Jiangjin district and Hejiang County of Chongqing City, 32 km away from Luxian county and 27 km away from Luzhou city. Covering an area of 122.77 square kilometers, the town governs 42 agricultural administrative villages and 4 Street villages with a total population of 56122 people (2017). It is the largest agricultural town, provincial "cultural advanced town" and national longan production base in Luzhou city. Taifu market town is planned to cover an area of 1.5 square kilometers, integrating 7200 square meters of standardized agricultural markets, apartments for the elderly, town square and other facilities. The town has complete functions of water, electricity, gas and communication, realizing the connection of road, closed circuit and telephone to every village. The construction of 18 central villages has begun to take shape, and Yangshan village has become a demonstration central village in Luzhou city. Historical evolution

Taifu town was established in 1935, changed to Taifu commune in 1958, restored to township in 1984 and established in 1992. In 1997, with an area of 114 square kilometers and a population of 73000, it has jurisdiction over Wafang, Luwan, tielu, laozui, Zhangshan, Banzhu, Xiaoshi, Shihuang, Shitong, Bashang, Heming, wangwan, Liangqiao, Xiaqiao, conglomeration, Jiaan, Zhonglie, nanmu, qinglongzhao, Minghu, Laoying, Shiba, Yongli, Huxi, yupan, xinwa, Ji'an, liangba, Shizhu, Yucun, renwan, Zhangba and Baimi There are 42 administrative villages, namely, Chong, Wangping, gongwan, Mucun, Yangshan, Shizi, Zaozi, Gaoqiao, Qinggang and Gaochang, and 4 neighborhood committees, namely, Taifu, Baiyun, Wanding and Xinlu street. The economic development of Taifu town is unique. Located in Yongli village, Taifu Town, Luxian Shenxianqiao port is another large cargo terminal after Luzhou container terminal. The Shenxianqiao Industrial Park on the terminal has been included in the construction plan of "two ports and one park" in Luxian economic development zone and "one port and seven bases" in Luzhou port industrial logistics park. Taifu longan was named "high quality longan production base" by the Ministry of agriculture as early as 1996. At present, the planting area of longan trees in the town is nearly 20000 mu, with 150000 adult longan trees bearing fruit, with an average annual output of 5 million kg of fresh longan. The annual output value is more than 80 million yuan. Luzhou Wanfu chicken farm, located in Wangping village, Taifu Town, Luxian County, is a "pollution-free egg production base" named by Sichuan Provincial Department of agriculture, with an annual output of more than 200000 commercial broilers and 6.5 million fresh eggs.
