In 1949, No. 3 Township belonged to ten districts of Zhangbei County; in 1983, it was changed from No. 3 commune to No. 3 township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Rural three was 15044. As of June 2020, No. 3 village has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at No. 358 commercial street of No. 3 village.
