Shangwu Township, subordinate to Qingxian County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, is located in the south of Qingxian County, bordering Jinniu Town in the East, Xingji town and Taoxing Township in Cangxian County in the south, chenzui Township in Pangu Township in the West and Qingzhou town in the north. The Township People's government is 15 kilometers away from Qingxian people's government, with a total area of 60 square kilometers.
In 1953, the township was built up in Wu township; in 1958, it was built on the Wu commune; in April 1984, it was changed to the upper Wu township; in 1996, it was renamed Zhou Guan Tun Township, and later renamed the upper Wu township; as of the end of 2018, there were 22082 registered residence population in the upper Wu township; as at June 2020, 15 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the upper Wu township; the villagers' government was stationed in the upper village.

In 1953, Shangwu township was built.
In 1958, Shangwu commune was established.
In April 1984, it was changed to Shangwu township.
In 1996, it was renamed zhouguantun Township and later renamed Shangwu township.
