Changtang Yao Township, Dongkou County, Hunan Province is located in the middle of the beautiful Xuefeng mountain. Historical evolution
Before liberation, Changtang Yao township was under the jurisdiction of Pingshan, Wugang county. In 1952, it was divided into Dawan, Shanlong, Xinqiao and other townships in the first district of Dongkou county. In 1956, it became Changtang township. In 1958, Changtang people's commune was established. In 1984, it was changed into Changtang township. On April 30, 1986, Changtang Yao township was established with the approval of the provincial people's government The village is under the jurisdiction of Yuexi township. In 1995, it was withdrawn and merged into Changtang Yao township. The original organization is retained and the jurisdiction remains unchanged.
