Laimou town
Laimou town is under the jurisdiction of Rong County. Provincial Science and technology demonstration town, Zigong well-off demonstration town. In 1950, it was called laimou township. In 1958, it was changed into a commune. In 1983, it was restored to a township. In 1995, it was established as a town. Located in the northwest of the county, 40 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 56.94 square kilometers and has a population of 18530 (2017). From (Gong) ya (an) highway transit. It has jurisdiction over 18 village committees of Laimu, Zaojiao, Nianzi, yidongqiao, liujiaba, Yijia, lanniqiao, jiedangwan, Dayan, dajuan tree, Tazi, Zhoujiaba, heidegou, Xinsi, pigeon, Sihe, Liangfeng and Sunjia, and laimupu neighborhood committee. On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name laimou town as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.
General situation of villages and towns
There are 18 villages, 189 villager groups, 1 neighborhood committee and 3 resident groups in laimou town. The total population is 18530 (2017). Town People's government resident to Mouchang, 40 kilometers away from the county. Laimou town mainly produces rice, corn, sweet potato, wheat, soybean, rape, peanut, sugarcane, tea, citrus, etc.
Laimou town has a mild climate and fertile land, which is very suitable for tea growth. The average altitude is 478 meters, the highest is 556 meters, and the lowest is 400 meters. It is an ideal place to cultivate high quality tea. The tea planting area of the town has reached more than 700 mu, with an annual output of 30000 teas. It is the first tea town in Rong County, enjoying the reputation of "the hometown of tea". Laimou town is rich in mineral resources, including salt mine, limestone, sand, shale, etc. The main enterprises in the town are Zigong Fumin farm, Jinshui Salt Chemical General Factory and Huimin rubber factory. Fumin farm was listed as the most important scientific and technological project of the State Science and Technology Commission and the Ministry of agriculture in 1995 - "Sichuan lean pig scale breeding and industrialization technology research and development" demonstration farm. In 2008, it is improving the quality of commercial pigs and striving to earn foreign exchange through export.
Historical evolution
Laimou town has a long history. In Xia and Shang Dynasties, it belonged to Nanpu and nanmenpu in Liangzhou. In Zhou Dynasty, it was Nanan County in Shu state. At the beginning of the Warring States period (316 BC), Zhang Yi and Sima Cuo, envoys of King Huiwen of Qin Dynasty, attacked Bashu. After the destruction of Bashu, they implemented the system of prefectures and counties in the whole country. They changed the state of Ba into Bajun, the state of Shu into Shujun, and Nan'an County into Nan'an county. In the 11th year of Daye (614), it was called Ziguan County, and in the first year of Wude (618), it was called Ziguan county. Mingyuzhen was called emperor in Chongqing according to Shu, and changed the Yuan Dynasty to Tiantong. In the fifth year of Xia Kaizhao (1371), Qingliu township was set up in Guanxian county. In the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, it was called "laimupu" for worshiping the brothers of Mou Zicai. It was founded in the 29th year of the Republic of China. In 1951, Yongzheng came to Muxiang. 1955. Laimou Town People's commune was established in 1958. It was changed into a township in 1984 and a town in 1995.

Industry
In 2012, the total output value of industrial enterprises was 984 million yuan, an increase of 18.55% over 2011, including 659 million yuan for Enterprises above Designated Size, an increase of 22.04% over 2011. One new enterprise with a total investment of 550 million yuan was added, and the construction of Chiyu salt chemical's 600000 ton vacuum salt production technical transformation project started and progressed smoothly. Three new enterprises, including laimou processing plant, Camellia oleifera factory and wood processing plant, were introduced from Beijing haodelai Investment Management Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 12 million yuan.
Agriculture
It is estimated that the total agricultural output value will be 304 million yuan in 2012, an increase of 3.06% over 2011. The total grain output of the whole year reached 19333 tons; 1500 mu of low yield tea garden was transformed and 500 mu of high-quality tea garden was newly developed; animal husbandry production developed rapidly, with more than 100 live pigs sold in 25 large households and 39000 live pigs sold in the whole year; small poultry and characteristic breeding grew gradually, forming large-scale breeding, with 14 large-scale breeding households and 3.3 million small poultry sold. There are 8500 foreign workers in the county, with an average annual labor income of 85 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers has increased by 687 yuan. At present, there are 19 rural professional cooperatives, with more than 1500 mu of land transferred.
