Niuwei Township
Niuwei township is located in the south of Gongjing District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, 37 kilometers away from Gongjing City, 57 kilometers away from the north city of Yibin river. It borders on Baihua Town, Cuiping District, Yibin City in the East (South), Guluo Town, Xuzhou District, Yibin City in the West, Wubao town and Lianhua Town, Gongjing District in the north. The total area is 35.85 square kilometers. The cultivated land of Niuwei township is 7517.5 mu, including 5058 mu. Niuwei Township, with a total population of 5750 (2017), governs 8 administrative villages, 1 Street community and 54 villager groups. Historical evolution
Niuwei Township Qianlong 19 years (1754) built a market for the elderly. according to legend, there is a cattle crossing dozens of miles, from niutouzhai, niujingao, niuxinsi to Niuweihe. The farm is built in Niuwei, which is called Niuweihe farm. in the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), he set up his hometown. in 1955, Guihua township was incorporated. Niuwei people's commune was established in 1958, and it was renamed Niuwei Township in 1984. in September 1995, the township system was adjusted, and in August 2001, the district was removed and the township was merged, while Niuwei township was retained. In 2005, Rongxian county was transferred to Gongjing district.

Niuwei township is hilly, high in the north and low in the south, with vertical and horizontal valleys, 450 meters above sea level. Among them, the forest resources are rich, and the coverage rate is as high as 50%. The territory is rich in water resources, and Daiyang River and Niuwei river flow through it.
