Jiuchi town

Jiuchi town was built in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. It is located in the east of Pengzhou City, 8 kilometers away from the city. The town governs 18 administrative villages, 151 agricultural cooperatives and 2 residents' committees, with a total population of 27296 (2017). It covers an area of 27.96 square kilometers. Jiuchipu is the political, economic and cultural center of Jiuchi Town, which is located by the Han (Guanghan) Peng (Zhou) highway.

In September 2018, the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas and the Ministry of Finance approved Jiuchi town to carry out the demonstration construction of a strong agricultural town.

On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Chengdu to adjust the administrative divisions of 15 counties (cities, districts) including Longquanyi District (cfzm [2019] No. 24): Shengping town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Jiuchi Town, and Jiuchi Town People's government was stationed at No. 114 Xinglong Street.
